I love the simplicity and strength of this model. I train other trainers to get their qualifications, and in this training we use the DEDICT model: Demonstrate, Explain, Demonstrate Slowly, Imitate, Coach, Test or Trial. It is very similar, but I think this three -step approach of yours is easier to remember for participants. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for taking time to let me know that I"m being helpful. I'd love to hear about the results you get from using the shorter approach, Charlie. A word of encouragement: make sure that when you train them to use it, you have them demonstrate by training you on a skill. I have them draw a random skill out of a hat (how to paint your fingernails, how to lasso a cow, etc) and then do the 3 step approach to train us on that skill. It makes for some memorable training practice!

You exemplified Pragmatic approach. Instead of focusing jargon , you nailed it down , I do, We do, and You do. It's amazing. Splendid

Hello. As a first-time product trainer, I just recently discovered that a lot of the salespeople I train don't remember or understand or recall product information. I will implement this method in my next visual training and I will also share the outcome of this method. Thank you for making it so simple.

I think the We Do is so very important. I am a manufacturing trainer and it's so important to have discussions all along the training process.
@TrainingSolutionsFLTS

Yes! The We Do is often the step that is forgotten. It's so important because it is the step which allows the trainer to see areas where there is confusion or hesitation and to give constructive feedback. Keep training it well. Your role is an important part of the manufacturing process.

I've been asked to train someone for the first time this next week. Been super anxious about it knowing how bad of a teacher I am lol, especially because I get off point and side tracked, also I just have a very unorganized thought process. Love the clarity and points of this video. I've taken notes and will apply these steps when the shadow training comes. Thank you very much for this vid!

This was helpful. I’m doing a MasterClass today & will be doing other online mentoring/trainings. I would love to know how to apply I Do We Do You Do to my programs. Thanks.

I'm so glad that the I Do We Do You Do resonates with you, Susan. We are in the process of writing a book to describe our entire model for training adults. But the best way for me to help you learn how to apply this technique and others suited for adults is to train you. We offer a training twice a year on our model. It is a week long course with lots of opportunities to practice what you are learning. We allow specific time to make application to the training/program that you are working on and offer one on one help during our time together as well. Here is the link for the training we offer: www.flightlevelgroup.com/training-courses/.

Wow, what an important role you have, Tanya. The more you can get people talking, moving, and interacting in your training the better they will understand it and take it to heart. I have a book coming out soon which will give much more detail that I think you will like.

That is a good question. I’m still here and listening to what you say. Frankly, I paused to complete the model of training and to test it. The model is complete and a book is almost ready to publish. I’m also beginning to create an online course. I’m so thankful for those who have watched and encouraged me. I’m truly considering starting back in on KZfaq. What can I help you with? How can I be a blessing to you here?
