In Dressage thinking "forward" into a downward transition (canter to trot, trot to walk, walk to halt) is how we keep the horse active and from falling apart. Great idea to use it in Power Obedience.

Way cool to watch and see how she is learning so many different things at once. She is going to be a blast to watch grow up and compete.

Training in drive is difficult for the average dog handler. But there's no denying it yields the best results.

I have that dogs twin here with me in NYC ...its crazy how these black GSD look nothing like the rest of the breeds standard ..My boy is small and compact and is the most athletic GSD you will ever set your eyes on.

This is one of the most helpful to me, I have the elite package and and well into it, but I have my first female, also first GSD that is challenging me greatly. She gets bored with me, she says "no" and half asses everything, lol. This gave me hope, and yet I need specific drills to change to with intention like Haz can, he knows the future of each movement encouraged. I get stuck and need depth of what to do next, how to flex with what the dog is giving me at the time. Hope to see more Bang training since it seems perfect example for us.

Thanks, Haz. We a have bi-colour Czech line working , GSD. These videos are helpful because it confirms we’re already doing the right things. Our entire family enjoys these videos. I wonder if our Newfoundland puppy, which lacks any sort of drive whatsoever, would benefit from a similar regimen?

Nothing wrong with your training … it’s not harsh at all. She’s a happy girl … ears are forward and she’s truly invested and loving the interaction with you. I was thinking you were just using her for breeding … but I wonder if you’ll end up competing with her at some point! I love her build Haz … she’s solid and a looker! Congrats … good choice! 🙏🙌

@@shieldk9 I know you train all the dogs. What I meant was if she was going to be competing … or are they automatically entered into competition regardless if they’re for breeding purposes or not?

Can someone who seriously knows the answer tell me why he pulls on the leash for a sit or for a halt at heel? Is it simply to provide pressure that is released when the dog performs the correct behavior, ie. negative reinforcement?
@thecawckiestking5 ай бұрын
Basically, yes. He explains using that sort of leash pressure in an older video "How to use a Prong Collar". Obviously that other video is mostly about Prongs, but the method of leash pressure is the same regardless of the tool used (flat collar & leash, prong, choke chain, etc.).

I get this dog, this dog needs frustration build it, making the task almost intrinsic for her, if it was amale and stole shit from you I would draw a closer comparison 😅

bad optics, many achieve better healing images with no pressure basically, for reference Forrest Micke for example
@mazursky98807 ай бұрын
I guess that this video wasn't meant to show how to train heeling with pressure but to show the quality of a dog. Natural resilience to the pressure, how the dog reacts when applied. Adding pressure to the equation is not meant to properly teach how to heel but to whole training. When moving to bitework the dog will have to endure much more pressure than this. If he cannot stand it now or wasn't trained to properly respond to pressure how you want to move further and expect that he'll withstand much more and doesn't collapse? It's conditioning, not heeling video
@nordics8347 ай бұрын
@@mazursky9880 very true indeed, thanks for the input, it remains questionable optics though but youre right, this is whats needed to develop that grid
