I love Stoicks reaction to seeing his wife again. He has all the reasons to be mad and furious and she even wants him to, to be justified in her guilt. Which is understandable from her perspective. But he's still so in love that even a big hulk like him is absolutely disarmed and in awe of seeing her again. That's just perfectly written and voice acted.

A not-so-fun fact: Drago's weapon seems to be modelled after an elephant hook, a device used in circuses. In a circus they obtain elephants when they're young and "train" them by hitting and stabbing with a large hook, resulting in a lasting fear of the item in them so even in adulthood when it wouldn't be nearly as painful, they still obey. Drago most likely did the same with his Bewilderbeast
@nidheeshkumar6760
@nidheeshkumar6760 Жыл бұрын
Circus is very new phenomena these hooks are used to train elephant's for almost 2 millinea for war and similar iron sharpnels are fit to elephant tusks so in India the castle gates have iron protrusion outside so that during war they can't use elephant's to ram the gate down it worked for few centuries after that they used to keep camels in front of elephant's and make them ram those gates the spikes will kill the camel with spikes and elephant will ram the gate down safely without getting hurt or killed

@@LeviCerise I will tell you even darker story when Mongols attacked Delhi sultanate he got around 200 elephant's so Mongols lit fire to their camels and released towards Delhi sultanate army the fire caused panic in elephant's as camels are running towards them the elephant's turned back out of fear and stampede their own army half the troops died in elephant stampede itself

Is it really necessary to bring that up ??? I mean, c'mon, the movie was perfect until you stepped in and tried to ruin it, especially when you stated yourself, "it seems to be modeled after ...". No proof or evidence of any kind, yet you couldn't wait to put in your 2¢ and try to destroy such a great movie. I mean, this is a great movie, and I doubt anyone involved with the making of it had any thoughts about what a particular object may have played in history. Maybe, you could think of it as just a story, and appreciate it for that fact ALONE !!!

The evolution of Stoick in this movie was phenomenal. They showed him how great of a leader, Father and husband he was, in a very short time. He lived the philosophy of, "A chief protects his own". And, in a short amount of time, you saw him reunite with his wife in a way that showed how much he loved and missed her. And that there was no anger and resentment for her staying away. When Drago attacked he just said, "We're a team now. What do you want to do?" He didn't try to take control, he just supported her. Then his fierce defense of his family to the point of, selflessly, and without hesitation, sacrificing himself to save Hiccup, just put the cap on his character. Hiccup's line, at his funeral, where he say "I was always afraid of becoming him. Mainly because I didn't think I could. How do you become someone go great? So selfless?" That part broke me again and again. Because that is how I feel about my Father. I use him as my model of integrity, honesty and strength. He is someone that all of my friends look up to and respect. And I know that, someday soon, I will have to speak of him in the past tense.

One of my most awesome memories is going to see this at the drive in. As me and my friend were watching, a shooting star crossed over the top of the drive in screen just after Stoic died and then another at Stoic's funeral when they shot the arrow. It was the first and only time I have ever seen a shooting star with my own eyes my whole life and the fact it was two, now whenever I watch this movie i get chills at the memory.

We all know when people say, "Don't cry. If you cry then I'm going to cry, and then we'll all be crying." As much as I hate to see you cry, when you laugh it makes it all better. It doesn't matter how long this movie has been out, it hits you just like the first time.

I just love "Lamby" being part of the reaction. It reminds me of a little stuffed lamb that my mother purchased for anticipated first grandchild. She only got one, but she adored him. It was a little black faced lamb, and it was because of the song from "Gypsy" she and I used to sing in the car when I was a child. "Little lamb, little lamb, I wonder how old I am." I still think your reaction in the first movie at the beginning with Lamby was one of the funniest things I've ever seen ... so innocent to frightening in a matter of moments. Your reaction was top level. Your compassion for the characters made the emotions of the film enhanced when I didn't think that was possible. I'm truly looking forward to you reacting the the third installment. They did such a wonderful job making each of them unique and a great story within itself. It will be a fun ride. Thank you!

I love the difference in the opening sequence of the first movie compared to this one. In the first one dragons were a pest and a threat, often taking the sheep away to be eaten and the sheep are just nonchalantly standing there and eating. In this movie, the dragons are not a problem anymore and the sheep are afraid for their lives, knowing that they're used for dragon racing :D

also interesting fact drago can control his alpha because he trained it from when it was a small baby using pain its the same way they used to train elephants the animal is smart enough to understand that if it sees the bullhook (the hook he waves around while shouting) and hears drago scream he better obey or there could be pain but the animal isn't smart enough to reassess the situation and that it is bigger then drago or the trainer so it simply just remembers i do as I'm told or hell use the hook to cause me great pain like when i was very small. also i love the little details in this movie like how we see papa hiccup and drago fighting mirroring the alphas fighting and it also explains why mamma hiccup liked the alpha so much it was essentially a dragon version of her husband (a strong leader who protects his own, with the shape of a big beard). also that the alpha loses his horn arm mirroing that drago lost his left arm (same as how hiccup lost his leg on the same side as toothlesses tail fin)

That's so sad that the big alpha was treated so terribly. Especially when we get to see how peaceful the other alpha was when he was given freedom. All the little details you pointed out were great. These movies are so thoughtful in how they tell stories.

One thing to take close notice of: as the films go forward, the animation is better each time. Realistically, all the characters 'age' like real people. I find this to be one of the trilogy's greatest feats.

its not the eyes that are the reason for the alpha's control of toothless. But, by eliminating one of the senses, it allows toothless to concentrate more on hiccups movement and trusts him completely on where they both want to go. This complete trust, reliance and fierce concentration leaves no room for distractions, thus blocking the alpha's interference to toothless' mind.

One my favorite sequels and animated movies. This story is a perfect next step from first. Hiccup finding who he is and the leader he needs to be. Sooner than he would have wanted. Two favorite moments are the speech about his dad and how Hiccup is going to live up to the example he set. Also the way Hiccup was animated at the end, when becoming chief. They did a masterful job showing his grace, humility and the nerves of become chief of Burke.

This movie is my favorite of the franchise. Stoic's death was sad, but heroic. He said a lot of things to his son in the first movie, but he didn't hesitate to give his life for his son's, and his encounter with his wife was beautiful. His entire arc gave him so much depth in comparison with the first one. Lemmy must be amazed of the work of all the stunt-sheep in this movie. 😁😁

One of the things i love about this movie is that we saw hiccup as someone who is very different from the vikings, that he couldnt kill a dragon and that he is more on being interested and befriending them, and in this movie they introduced his Mom and that he actually took after his Mom instead of his dad and that he and his father may not have something in common but atleast he has his Mom who is the same as him. I just love that in other movies we always have a mother & daughter/Father & Son bond but in this movie, they went the other way and it's a Mother and Son bond instead.

I can't begin to describe how awesome it was on the big screen, particularly that first alpha battle. Just the size and scope was incredible, you almost forget it's animated it's SO well done. I also really appreciate the balance they use for this series. There's sad moments but they're far outweighed by the happy moments and action. They kept in mind that these movies are supposed to be fun and keep kids' attention. I think that's why we see less movies like this now, parents are tired of paying movie theater prices for boring movies with long stretches of dialogue that doesn't keep their kid in the seat. I agree with Jax that the first movie was basically perfection and I still prefer it over the second only because I feel like it's required viewing. But this is just as good albeit in different ways. Part 3 will be bittersweet because it's also very good but it's the last one as of now. If I recall correctly it has a satisfying ending so can't wait to see you react to it soon! 😊

4:29 Another invention they carried over and explained in the TV Series , apparently hiccup went through a lot of trial and error to get that glider working 😁😆♥️👍👍 (Only OG's who watched the entirety of this franchise can get it 👍😏)

Jax, you hit another home run !!! You put it all out there for everyone to see, and I really appreciate that ... and yes, you brought out my tears when yours came out, but, like the incredible line from the song, The Dance ... "Yes, my life is better left to chance ... I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance" - Garth Brooks I love watching your reactions ... they make me feel ... well, they make me feel ... and I really appreciate that 🥰🌹 Can't wait to see what you do next !!!

Awesome movie reaction and I just found your channel and I'm absolutely loving it, especially your reactions when it comes with the lambs. I've only seen the first two How to train your Dragon movies and not the third one, but I like both of the movies. Also, I noticed in the background that you have a hedwig on the shelf and I love those movies as well.

I cry at this trilogie all the time, the first one came out when i was young, like ten or twelf, so i think they go with the "generation" they saw the first one when they were young, this one came out when i was like a teenager, and i am so terrible affected by all 3 of this movies, it´s unbelievable and also, i like how you said you earned a sheeps loyalty, my opinion is all lifeforms, but same outcome :)

I love this movie so much and am glad that you did as well. Yes it is better than the first one and sadder too with the death of the cheif but at least Hicup got his mother back so that is something. The third one is just intense and amazing as well so there is that.

At this point you must have already watched or is so much close to watching that it won't make time to, BUT, you should watch the third dressed as Astrid - hair braided, hairband, shoulders with some red fur-lined coat and you'd look just like her 🙂

Yep, as I've said before, one of my favourite movie franchises, animated or not. As a matter of fact, quite a few of my favourite movies are animated, and often made by DreamWorks or Pixar. Great reaction as always, and I hope Lambie isn't too traumatized after watching this movie 😄

The 3rd movie is really good too and there's 2 series' that tie all 3 movies together, the first is DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Burk, the second is DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge. Both are extremely good and bring a lot of information that's left out between the 3 movies, the Riders of Burk series takes place between the first and second movie and Race to the Edge takes place between the 2nd and 3rd movie

In one of the shorts made in between the first two movies, Hiccup makes a device for Toothless's tail so that that he can fly on his own, without Hiccup's help.
