Because of her high profile ferret training channel, Courtnie and her ferret Joey were recruited to audition for America's Got Talent. Joey appeared in several North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Commercials, and was photographed for an advertisement for Home Depot. Courtnie is also currently a part of the American Ferret Association Education committee.

I had ferrets for over 30+ years. Absolutely adore them. I LOVE the way they smell. I only ever bathed one of my ferrets when he got into a bucket of dirty water. I saw no need to bathe them. I wish I had taught recall. Although I did it with a specific toy squeak. Great guest. Simon is gorgeous. ❤️🥰. Awesome way to show ferrets for the smart, problem-solvers they are. They are stereotyped.... People don't know what awesome pets/companion animals they are.

I have my boys for 5 months. They are about 8-9 months old :) Do you have any suggestions for ferrets and carpet? lol in particular peeing/pooping and scratching carpets?

I LOVED this!! After my last ferret passed away (and a couple others before her due to their health issues), I was left heartbroken and decided I was no longer going down the ferret path. And then enter "The Modern Ferret" and "The Trained Ferret". I actually found you first and from you I found The Trained Ferret. This was a couple years ago now. Since they had passed I just felt there was a piece missing from my heart. Not just the void from my previous ferrets passing but just something else. Then one day it just hit me like a truck while I was walking through the pet store. I needed a new ferret in my life. And so that happened lol. A year later after watching The Trained Ferret's videos over and over I actually decided to contact Novel Beginning's where Courtney got Simon from and filled out an application and got myself on the waitlist. I'm so proud to say that I made the insane drive from Minnesota out to Pennsylvania and got my baby ferret last October. His name is Revan and his little sister I got from the pet store is Kyber. I tell myself its like having Simon's brother with me (even tho he's from different parents). Both you and Courtney have been such an inspiration to me and have helped me so much. You both helped get through a darker time in my life and have genuinely helped/guided me in giving my new ferrets a better life. Just knowing all the different ways to bond and train your ferret are amazing. All the product suggestions and food suggestions have been wonderful as well. Its invaluable to have such a trusted source :) I've even considered streaming my adventures with my ferret and putting some videos up on youtube as well at some point. I appreciate both of you!! Keep up the wonderful life changing work and I can't wait to see what you do next!

Present the idea of rescuing a homeless ferret. Try putting a positive spin on the idea. I always had only one ferret at a time while being a caregiver for my girlfriend who got me into ferrets. My girlfriend's 2nd ferret was a very wild male. Her 3rd ferret was a girl who was very sweet, & our 4th & present ferret is a girl. Our fourth ferret bonded with me in the store! She was very happy to come home with us!

Wow guys this was awesome! I have been trying to train my sugar gliders and it was really eye opening to see how difficult it was to “train” a human fluent in English 😂 I have a new found respect for trained critters everywhere

hi from france, I adopted a ferret 8 months ago, he was 3 months old. he was weaned with chicks. today he hardly eats his chick anymore and prefers his kibbles. what should I do ?? let the ferret eat its kibble or should I insist on the chicks.

I think so, there is a huge marshals ferret disease going around though. They are having a hard time breeding them. I cant find them anywhere around me. (Marshal ferrets is were petco gets there ferrets)

do you raw feed your ferrets, I am trying to get a ferret and I don't know were to get raw ferret food. I can find raw dog food but cant find raw ferret food.
