This is very inspiring. Thank You!! I can't say I "understand" what Howard is saying (that would be my thinking mind) - but, I do intuit/sense very strongly that he is showing us a significant sign post!

It is no coincidence to found this video here, in fact everything he says describe everything that i have gone through before, therefore to me this is no joke nor somekind of woo woo or mumbo jumbo as some of commenters said, he is a real master and although i never been into martial arts, his insights in spiritual is on point and im confident he has gone through the similar experience of mine.

Very interesting “What am I “, personally been there before but I did not concentrate on this question because there were so many other revelations, but like the Master said there is another level, What am I. Thank You for the hint 👍

I can't say personally from experience training with him specifically, but I do know from experience that when they're as good as he is, yes they do. Training with a guy capable of these skills will increase your own exponentially.

Yes, but simple explanations work. I found by doing what I call Tao walking I get there. To no thought, no mind, no self, it all disappears. No idea of the passage of time either. I've only done this when walking in the woods in spring, surrounded by natures energy. I only come out of it when I notice what looks like tesla lighting being so bright on the ground my eyes hurt. Looking back on those experiences it seems like it might be pretty tiring, it's hard to say as I've only bothered doing it a few times. I can't seem to do it when others are nearby, their thought and energy fields were just too painful, and repulsive to me. I'm a bit curious if others have had similar experiences. I have met a taichi teacher who described exactly the same type of experiences. But other than the two of us I know of no others.

A try to answer your question, would be it s a manifastiation like you have an idea !
@naturalman4185
@naturalman4185 3 жыл бұрын
Well if you manifest, there still must be a point of realisation that something has taken place. So it’s more to do with what you have realised you have achieved, which is after the manifestation. The manifestation is at the idea stage, when you are thinking about what you want to achieve. This doesn’t give you the next level though.. because without action, manifestation is only an idea. Unless the inaction, or meditation on the desired end goal is what gives the extra level according to his model

@@naturalman4185 thats a complicated question, but i try. First you make a plan and that will not work bcs you try to interlectually get a outcome which has nothing to do with a thought process. Second you try to feel and it will not work bcs you want to get the feel off from your body. Like muscular tension in martial arts, thats a feeling. Someone is pressing on your arms for example, naturally you go against and as he mentioned this instinct reaktion ( muscular force ) will kick you out again. Third you relax to bring your muscular tension in under 8% intensity and find the position to be stable while relaxed. At this stage your mind is still watching ( if it works ) that kick you out again. You try and try to reach 1 relaxed ( facia system kicks in ), 2 stable from the joints to absorb the pressure without muscular force. 3 without the mind ( means without watching yourself = 0 awareness inside the body ), and if you reach that the manifastion happens and you realize it. The next stage after taking the pressure is to learn how to redirect your energy (which comes from the opponent and went into your fascia)(so the fascia works like a store or batterie)( not muscular force ), thats why you feel nothing. After the manifastation happens now your intesion to direct the forceflow will make an outcome, in thai chi called fa jing in WingTsun called the spring force. For different situations need different manifastations. So it s a collection of expirience and not one thing to learn. I tryed my best hope it helps to get a viewpoint.
@torstenbeck640
@torstenbeck640 3 жыл бұрын
@@naturalman4185 to give a example for use, If someone gives you a low kick and hit your muscle, there is no use from that, but if someone put pressure on your body you can use his pressure and your body as well to redirect his force. So you will not be magically invulnerable, but you gain a extra to win the fight.
@torstenbeck640
@torstenbeck640 3 жыл бұрын
@@naturalman4185 you are right when its up to there have to be something in reality after the manifastation. What you do not concider in your thought is, when you are at easy state with body & mind and additional train with a partner you trust, and your movement create a complete different (high impulse) outcome, because you put your body weight at ease and your mind and then you react without breaking the "silence", so your partner flight 10 feet far away thats the manifastation what i called bevore the idea. Now you know its the right way and you start to trust yourself for at least one situation, where you can make it work.

@@truthserum9456 BTW, my comment is the exact opposite of a theory. It’s based on experiential practice (as are all Chinese and Indian internal practices) and it’s only someone who hasn’t done any significant (years) of practice who can be taken in by clever “theories”. This is the arrogance of the modern western mind. I don’t claim for a moment to be a master but one thing I know for sure…the intellect is it the enemy. p.s. I have a physics degree and so am very familiar with the pitfalls of western logic.

@@redlotustaichiandqigong9166 Yea u make a good point that even avid tai chi players are probably only meeting others to practice once per week, though your reference to “outside the box training” points to a 3rd scandal (lol) and that is there is a LOT of information missing about how to apply the tai chi skills in fighting. This is prob what wang xiangzhai meant in his criticism of tai chi when he said...”even the masterhand has no idea what to do when confronted with an opponent..”

Asking “Ok?” or “makes sense?” is just about the dumbest thing one could possibly ask. One cannot transcend the mind with the mind and, giving a rational explanation for something beyond rationality, is an absurd paradox. To someone who does understand, the words are a hollow waste of time and, to people who don’t, the illusion that they have been given the “formula” will actually block authentic progress. Look at the Martial Man. He has been exposed to all of these internal “concepts” (from many different teachers) and yet, he still thinks it’s about “external power” (posting a recent KZfaq clip where he breaks a branch with his fingertips).
@THEMARTIALMAN
@THEMARTIALMAN 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment. I didn't use “external power” in the clip you're referring to; I stored, then released the Jin 勁, the power was generated from release, not contraction; there is a significant difference 😉
@nternalPractice
@nternalPractice 2 жыл бұрын
@@THEMARTIALMAN Indeed, there is a significant difference but it’s still just an outward physical expression of power and nothing to do with the deep internal release that the Prana Dynamics teacher is always demonstrating.
@nternalPractice
@nternalPractice 2 жыл бұрын
@@THEMARTIALMAN P.S. The very fact that you have described what you “did” says it all. This is pretty much the exact opposite of non-doing and the trap that almost all human beings fall into as the ego strives to show what it can “do” (accomplish). Like I said, just being exposed to the concepts doesn’t add up to a hill of beans because, it’s all about letting go of the things that you “think” you know (which is just about as close to impossible as it gets for the human ego).
@nternalPractice
@nternalPractice 2 жыл бұрын
P.p.s. My criticism is not coming from an impulse to imply that I’m superior but, because I’m so sick and tired of the endless “clever” dialogue all over the Internet as people discuss philosophical garbage! The internal arts are not about talking, they are about experiential practice.
