How to transfer a HELEN Database onto a USB stick

We are joined by Arron Barry again and I am showing how to put a completed Helen database onto a USB stick to load onto the bus.

Something which a mate of mine told me about is a little screw within a LED unit which can change which sign it displays - another way around your 128x15 vs 128x17 issue. Handy little video so thanks for producing, will refer back should I ever need to do this myself!

i managed to fix it mate. when i first saw the 128x15 mimicking the 128x17, i knew all it needed was a sign swap in the console settings. then bobs your uncle!

Can you add a route without having the database or will that delete all the info on the D3 except the route you want to add

If you don't have a keylo, is it possible to take an RS232 lead from the pc to the deric box?

it is possible. ive had a look and it doesnt specifically state what cable to use. it just says 'directly from your pc via a communications cable'

ive got a Keylo but how do i put it into my computer without paying £150.00 for a base station

unfortunately you need the basestation to plug the keylo in im afraid :(
