Also a quick and easy way to get your photos and videos off of your camera and onto your phone, so you can share them with friends and family or edit them on your phone.
I'll cover several different methods:
Using a USB cable that comes with the V10: This is the most common way to transfer files from a camera to a computer. Simply connect the camera to your computer with a USB cable, and then open the “Photos” app on a Mac or “file explorer” or image viewer app on a PC. More in the video.
Using a memory card reader: If you have a memory card reader, you can use it to transfer files from your camera to your computer without having to connect the camera directly. Simply insert the memory card into the reader, and then connect the reader to your computer. The photos and videos will be displayed in the “Finder” on a Mac “file explorer” or image viewer app on a PC, and you can then copy them to a folder on your computer.
I will also show you how to transfer photos and videos from your Canon PowerShot V10 camera to your phone using the Canon Camera Connect App. The specific steps involved in transferring photos and videos from your camera to your phone using the Canon Camera Connect App.
