Despite having a huge feature set and being a relatively excellent media management tool, iTunes isn't flawless. If a movie isn't already in an iPad-friendly format when you want to watch it on your iPad using iTunes, you'll need to find a video converter to change it into one. After that, you add it to your iTunes library and sync your iPad. How long does the entire process take? It can take a few seconds or a few hours.
I am not really a big fan of iTunes as it is very cumbersome... let me leave it there without going into any vulgar details.
Nevertheless, there are many ways to move files especially movie files into an iPad but this by far this is the most easiest.
1) Download VLC using App Store. By the way, VLC app still supports older iPad. Kudos to those VLS developers.
2) Launch VLC
3) Click on Network from the menu at the bottom.
4) Enable Sharing via Wi-FI. Note the IP address of the iPad.
5) Launch a browser and enter the IP address that was shown in the iPad.
6) Drag and drop the video file in the Drop File area in the browser.
7) Go to your iPad and launch the video you had uploaded to the iPad.
