For those who are asking how you transfer it after you get the bar that says "cancel or move here": After you select your pictures, you press the general back button and navigate to find your sd card in the files section. The bar below doesn't disappear while you select the folder you want to put it into. Then when you found the folder in your sd card, the "MOVE HERE" button becomes clickable. Thats when it moves your files; same thing if you want to copy files. THEN YOU PRAISE ME BECAUSE I AM A WIZARD!

followed directions but when I tried to "move" the pix it only gives me a choice of "move here" or cancel???

didn't work. when i hit 3 dots to move images my only option is "move to secure folder". no option to move/copy/etc

If anyone is having a problem at first and it isn't showing the move button, you have to format the sd card first. Settings> storage> sd card> format then it should show up. Like if I helped!!

OMG THIS IS SOOO HELPFUL!! I was doing something similar but hit move and I ended up not moving it to DCIM and now I have no idea where my pictures went so my phone is a total mess!and I'm so upset but now I know how to properly do it for in the future!

where is the SD card you are talking about? Do I have to have the phone connected to a computer with a SD card installed in it?

Late but recently updated the Note 8 and I don't get the option to choose where to copy to, it only asks if I want to "copy here". I've tried every tutorial and suggestion from Android Central, Samsung, and Reddit. Is this a bug I have to wait out? I used to be able to transfer no problem.

However, I can't seem to find any video that would help me know how to transfer Google Drive photos to an SD card. I'm afraid of clicking any icons since I don't know what they mean. I keep searching and most of what comes up is for newer phones. Whatever they are doing doesn't look anything like on my phone and nothing to do with Google Drive. Google Drive is almost maxed out and I really need to free up space. I just don't know how to get all those photos out of there. Please help me. Or anyone that sees this comment if you know how. I'm really not a techy person at all and at this point I am begging. Please and thanks in advance.

So I'm trying to do the opposite of this and transfer music from my sd to the phone itself, but the option to choose a location for moving/copyingis greyedout/inaccessible, the menus are also way different from what they used to look like from when this video was first made, is there something I'm missing or an idea as to why the option is faded like that?

Sorry - I tried all the tips you suggested, other than talking and clicking each option too fast, this was not helpful. Although, your video has been the only one that used my phone. I have tried restarting/closing-starting from the beginning and while it shows the Micro SD card, I can’t get it to do the “copy” and all the other options you described (and quickly) demonstrated. What ideally I would want to do is to transfer all photos to the card and have the phone automatically load any photos I take to the card (like I was able to do with my Samsung A2 (great phone but the 5mpixel camera not so). I’ve been searching for A8 (2018) ever since I realized there are multiple versions of the A8 depending on when they were made and like I had said, yours finally had my phone and was even remotely close to what I was looking for.

My only problem is that when i transfer them they dont save as the date they were taken, they save under the present date & in messy order - is there a way i can save them to my card & saved under the correct date they were taken in order??
