Ranking up from champ to unreal was a struggle, i played badly and was hella nervous. When I was at 98% and was sure I'll be unreal after that game I stopped caring and played better than in every other game of champ I played. Mentality really is a huge factor

Nah but fr I was basically elite and struggled to get a top 1 then my game started lagging at 200 ping non stop so I stoped really caring and I did too 1 with even 9 kills all that with 200 pings

So true it‘s actually weird but sometimes I say to myself I‘m the best player and I don‘t care about the rank because of that I play so much better the mentality is really a huge factor as you said!

you're right about the mentality, when I'm in ranked I get around 2-3 kills early game and then 2-3 endgame and finish with around 5-7 kills average, that's only coz I'm scared, a few times I had to go offline so I just fought everyone in sight and I ended up top 11 with 13 kills in champ lobbies, I'm pretty sure I would've won if I didn't have to go

Thank you for this video, Im an returning OG from chapter 1 and I got to unreal with good aim and chapter 1 mechanics, I've been practicing all of the new stuff in creative and it has been hard to do the same in real games

Bro this video is one of the best I seen. Recently I have been trying to play rank like creative. But I could never win my fights. But I watch this video to day and play slower than usual. I don't really care about my rank but omg I was somewhat moving and could see what the opponets mistakes. I warm up in a different region usually and then hop into rank idc about the fps becaue I play next gen console. I can win my fights better ways. When I would play like I am some kid that thinks he is good building in creative but is terrible.

Whats has always worked for me in every game for inly editing and building you want to make your speed 1.5-2x speed. So when you go to 1x it feels easy and you get better faster

as someone who plays on high ping, one way that i have forced myself to improve in actual games is to set my server location to be one that gives me a higher ping to practice the consistency and not speed. for ex i am on NA east but will do things like raiders map on west, so that when i load into an actual game at 30 ping, it isn't a huge difference, if anything it can feel better vs practicing on 40-50 ping in creative. would love your thoughts on this.

Just practice on NA Central if you are going to play tourneys/cash cups. No point in going all the way to West ping just to 'feel' the difference.

If you’re unreal then you don’t suck at ranked (unless you’re camping the whole game). Don’t expect to play the same way in ranked as you do in creative, ranked is a lot less mechanics based than creative is.

Would you have the advice for the other way around? What if I have put in a lot of hours into vod reviews and learning strategies and rotating, but I am not as good at mechanics or game sense in terms of a fight, I know when I need to play faster (though I’m naturally defensive and a box fighter) I just can’t execute as well, I can see my mistakes and solutions with strategy but I can’t figure it out as clearly with mechanics and fights, and it’s hard to find good vids cause a lot of them are vague or talk about more basic stuff

I know I am a random person but I can confirm playing with better players makes you better and or makes you put the effort to reach/higher level skill. When I played csgo 4 years ago I made some friends in custom servers who were 5-6 ranks higher and playing with them taught me to get better and play slower. Plus watching pros that have a opposite play style from yours can help just think how you think they would be thinking during the fight, rotation, or loot pathing. It could be a matter of few minutes that could change your game that one guy who is faster at looting and rotates into you who has not looted quick enough or has any mats. Your chances are low but doesnt mean you should play like you will lose always try to win every fight and know to take or leave a fight that is hard to learn personally I need to improve on that aspect of fighting (ego gets in the way). Also have fun with it if you are making it stressful or like a job you most likely won't stick to it, can say I made it stressful on myself and I had to quit because I was really in a bad state. I know I rambled about this but hope this helps someone who is trying to get better at fortnite or any game really!

yeah that is true, playing with better players often challenges peoples skills, people technically gotta challenge their skills if they want to get better. That goes for any game, or any activity, even if its just professional boxing. Professional boxers often spend literally hours focused on one thing, thats technically dedication right there, people just gotta put in the work if they wanna get good at fortnite, I oftenly meet some 10 year olds in fortnite voice chat, they wonder how I'm so good at fortnite, I give them every tip of advice, and they don't listen. All I hear, is "But its too hard" I'm like bruh its supposed to be like that, then they all of a sudden say, "I don't wanna be good anymore, I just wanna play the game for fun" I be like bruh

Hey man, I used to have the same issue but my best piece of advice to take more frequent breaks off the game since I have noticed I start to autopilot when I play for too long, try and keep focused on the task at hand whether that is a game in br or a 1v1 in creative and whenever u feel like you might autopilot finish your game or fight and then take a break, either watching a video or doing something else, even if it’s only for 5-10 mins. Hope this helps

I'm not a pro but I can offer my opinion. The skill level needed to go pro would more than likely require you to sacrifice your school/work in order to succeed. Of course it's possible and I wish you the best of luck but in my opinion it is not worth sacrificing your work/school/life to attempt to be a pro. Gl tho man

3 of of 7 days is not bad u just got to make sure when u do play u are not wasting time u got to go straight into ranked,scrims,tokens or aim training and don't worry Abt friends online and also make sure u get everything done like work, school ect before hand and your parents will see that u are responsible and will take it seriously It can be hard I have strict parents too they let me play more now that I made some money in the game but it's not as much as I want but better so u just got to make sure u grind and don't waste time

In box fights I am 118 wins and 1 loss, I am nearly unstoppable in most creative games, yet I am struggling to even get to unreal, which should be easy for most descent players. I think I have a lot of potential, just struggling to convert it to real games

Im very good in creative i barely ever lose realistics or any other gamemode but in ranked i lose even to people who are bad i was a bit stuck in champ i have like 76 percent becausewhen i dropped somewhere i would lose the first fight because i thought the players were good even tho they barely even have any guns haha but when i land somewhere in the middle like loot lake or dusty i either die off spawn with no guns or i get the best game ever because when i do get the best game i can easily kill anyone i see because afte getting like 2 kills and people keep pushing i get more and more confident and then i get too confident and die haha but i get way less nervous about fights and i see it more as if it was creative but the main problem for me in games is also stuff like ping its terible in creative i get like 30 maybe 25 on good days but in public i get like 50-60 and idk how i can improve it other then to buy new internet or some with higher speed is there anyway?

The only reason i cant do the things i do in creative in the real game is because i have 50-60 more ping and average like 40 fps and my graphics are all the way low. However, in creative, i run smooth 100 fps and 20 ping. its so annoying knowing that i cant do anything because my game is too laggy and choppy to even see what im trying to build
