Fragile resin is simply your emergency pack, which may come in handy when you just have to claim the rewards no matter what, and the original resin has already been spent. I treat it that way, and since I don't often have an emergency, naturally I have pretty thick supply now. I don't have any specific plan to use it, but I know I can afford to farm artifacts or talent materials. Not that I need to though.

Something I learned through another live service game (Warframe) is that only you can make the game fun for you, no one else. Find some sort of goal you want to do and work towards it. If you find yourself playing and not having fun, just stop. Play another game, watch a movie, read a book, go out for a walk. Game isn't going anywhere. Who knows, maybe when you return there will be something new that will make you love the game again.

Noelle at C0 with poor artifacts helped me get to Floor 10-3 in the abyss. However, I could not get through to Floor 11 with her (if I had better artifacts, I could probably get farther). Her shield is still very good since she also heals when shielded.

10:00 "Don't spend Fragile Resins on artifacts" is not a ridiculous advice. Because artifact farming is not guaranteed like other farmings that use resin. Just like in real life, never use your saving on a probability, if you do that, then it's a gamble, it comes with a risk. The same thing applies in genshin as well, you could be lucky to find good pieces, but considering how low the RNG, it's more likely that it takes a long time to find 1 decent piece, that time and resources could be better spend with something else that are guaranteed like EXP books, talent materials or upgrading weapons. After you've reached the point of your desired level and talent of all characters you plan on using, is then the time to start spending Fragile Resins on artifacts, because you've got nothing to spend the resin on. If you do otherwise, you'll very likely be stuck on low level for a very long time.

I have built almost everyone on my account, I have so many choices when doing abyss. It makes my runs peaceful and almost braindead. I enjoy clearing abyss and I wish it resets more often.

Strongest male team is Thundering Furry. Or just Cyno quickbloom with Baizhu, Xingqiu and Deepwood Zhongli or something. Maybe Lyney Bennett Kazuha Zhongli is a contender? Just throwing out all male teams that I know.

Dont forget that EM buff might also have affected meta due to making certain types of reactions stronger in the same patch kazuha dropped (or the one after, I feel so old oof)

I kept hearing about hyperfocusing on two teams, then i walked into actual floor 12 and couldn't deal with pyro shields. Now my plan is to get ~12 characters to usable state.

1:40 Artifact farming is the true Genshin intended endgame, it's the last thing there is for you to spend your resin on when you have nothing else to do. That's also why the chances are so screwed up. I'd say that resin spending priority is: 1/ level your character to 70/6/6/6, 2/ get "some" artifacts, 3/ level your character to 90/8/8/8 or 90/9/9/9, 4/ keep farming artifacts until you either get a new character or stop playing the game. 2:00 Taser definitely was not considered strong until at least Inazuma came. 2:30 I don't think Kazuha was a big meta shift as Sucrose was already in the game and Kazuha, while being in general better choice and more comfortable to use is still "just" 5-star Sucrose. In terms of major meta changes, I'd say it was shift to healing meta with corrosion mechanics in Inazuma, then shift to EM meta with all of Dendro. These were the most substantial changes Hoyo did push on us. Should I guess, we can expect something strongly related to HP with Fontaine, as the new mechanics have something to do with your HP changing up and down rather than to be simply based on how much HP you have. 8:00 For me Genshin is place to chill. I love exploring the map and having it extended every six weeks is a gift from heavens for me. I had a goal to level up all characters but I have already achieved it and the rate at which I am getting new characters is lower than the rate at which I can level them up. Now I have a number of other little goals like crafting 10 of all Teapot furnishings or getting all achievements. 10:00 The thing with "not using Fragile Resin on artifacts" is that it's good to save all your fragile resin until you have AR45, and only then dump it on farming your 5* artifact sets. There's also point in not using it immediately as it's the only long term resin storage we have.¨ 16:00 I definitely think that "hyperfocusing" on single character all the way up, then switching to another is the slower way to make your team strong. Your CV goals are fine but artifact farming has diminishing returns like anything else in the game and I'd say if you get over CV 20 on artifacts, it's already time to level up your character's level and talents, then switch over to another character, and only when you're done return to that first character and start working on finishing that "hyperinvest". If you improve your whole team proportionally, you'll be able to 36* Abyss way before you're done with making your first character "perfect".

In regards to taking a break, remember that taking 2 weeks off gives you a welcome back bonus that gives you a billet box, as well as primos and other goodies, which makes it not suck so much to not be playing each day. Most patches have a lul near the end, where the big event is almost done and you just have random small events. Perfect time to take a break, and still not miss anything

Setting goals are really a game changing for me. Before this, I used to just spend all my resin into whatever I feel like that day xD Now, after finally having my focus on 2 team for the abyss, I start setting goals for my team. Like saving primos for my main dps cons and weapon. Maxing their levels and talents. Once I did this, abyss is a breeze xD

Have goals. I like to build many different characters out. So I have a list on what I’m doing next to help keep me focused. It helps keep me from mindlessly wasting time also.

1:27 i actually use that ayatao team all the time! Its super satisfying to drive xingqui swords with ayato E, and stagger resistance from XQ and ayato + benny Q healing makes ayato feel untouchable durimg his field time!

I always advise anyone to not use fragile for artifacts since there's no guarantee you'll get something out of it.

Regarding fragile resin, artifacts don't guarentee performance increase so it ahould be last priority. Things like leveling talents come first

6:55 This is my own reason for still playing this game (FYI currently 916 days online AR 60 always do comms and events) ive been playing this game since 1.2 albedo's banner and im putting myself that "you do ur quests/events = u get primogems, u get primogems = u can pull more" besides that i love the game story quest, archon quest, a specific world quest, achievements, and friendship and fighting mechanic, even like how is one element countering others, i love it when i build a character to the fullest that i already farm for months its so satisfying (i just perfected my raiden circlet; mainstat 31% crit rate, substat 25% crit dmg). I do really love this game especially abyss, i love where we can do all of our rotation and see the huge number pops out the screen rather just died when bennet cast burst or kazuha swirl. i love it when all my exploration is on 100% i usually that a break when theres no stuff to do, like login > do 4 comms > making conden resins > then offline, and comeback after i can do my conden again and waiting for the day where i can farm for my character talent books. i like when i have what to do in genshin, but my priorities 1st get the character, 2nd farm his/her talent to 8 9 or even crown em(bcs its a guarantee stuff for spent resin) 3rd farm for their artifacts (YOU SHOULD FARM ARTIFACTS LAST BCS HOW AWFULL THE DROPRATE IS) and when 1 character is done thats so ughh, u cant get enough and want to build other character as well !! well that is for me, if any of u have other thoughts im gonna respect it edit: sometimes i do repeat my abyss bcs how good it is for blasting through it remembering getting those 36 stars

Something interesting regarding the early Meta of Genshin: In patch 1.6, Elemental Mastery got a huge buff for transformative reactions, effectively more than doubling their damage. This, coupled with the fact that common advice at the time was to not level characters past 70-80, meant that Taser was not that great in the early Genshin patches, despite all the characters of the modern Taser team being out since the release of the game.

Emc is alright electro applier. Considering how strong alhaitham is it's probably worth it. And lyney do have benn and kazuha which is all he really needs

Oh that one is easy, u do about a million or a half artifacts run until you have above 70 Crit rate 250-300 Crit DMG. Enjoy!

on the topic of enjoying the game - from experience, quitting for a year basically just makes it feel like you're starting a "new game+" because of how much content they add in a year, you'll go from being done all the quests and not knowing what to do to having a complete new region to explore and a ton of new quests to do and a new meta to build around. TLDR; you should take a break if you're not enjoying it, you will come back to fresh game.

I think my pick for underrated weapon is the 3* Skyrider Sword. That 42.9% at level 70 gives early game players a way to use burst-dependent players like Bennett, Xingqiu, and now Lynette before they can get a full energy recharge artifact set levelled up. You'll want to replace it once you have access to Favonius (Gacha), Sacrificial (Gacha), or the Sapwood blade (needs Sumeru optional quests to unlock recipe).

I am so guilty of spreading myself too thin since, I really love creating new teams.... so now I've restricted myself, because I need to build my characters better! Also, I frequently wish for 4 star characters, but that's simply because some of them I love more than the 5 stars.... I C6th my Faruzan for Heizou even though I have Wanderer, I did it for Heizou! I haven't even build Wanderer yet, and I have no regrets... Also I'm about to pull for Noelle on the upcoming banners... Tbf I love underdogs and the idea of making weird teams work, so....

1 min in and you don't "need" any characters to make another good. some characters prefer having certain ones, to help boost their damage. prefer might be a better vocabulary switch. i've noticed this in a few videos. it gives the connation, to me, that a person's account is bad or lacking if they don't have/use certain characters. Again, imo. (i'm tired of people saying i need to build XL. or get Raiden. I don't like their playstyles!! )

There's actually plenty of male-only teams that can be made, provided a person chooses Aether as their MC (because Hoyo hates the thought of off-field male electro). I started investing in my male-only account when Inazuma came out and before dendro, so I managed to cobble together plenty of team. Here are some of them: 1. Freeze: Kaeya | Chongyun | Kazuha or Heizou | XQ or Ayato or Childe 2. Melt: Diluc | Kaeya | Kazuha | Bennett 3. Spread: Alhaitham | Baizhu | Kazuha | EMC 4. Hyperbloom: Cyno | Baizhu or DMC | XQ or Ayato | ZL or EMC 5. Anemo Hypercarry: Xiao or Wanderer | Venti | Bennett and Thoma or ZL and Albedo 6. Mono Geo: Itto | Albedo | Gorou | Flex ( I use Venti for grouping lol) 7. Thundering Furry: Razor | Bennett C6 | XQ | Baizhu or DMC 8. Self-melt Kaeya: Kaeya | Bennett C6 | Kazuha | Zhongli 9. Burgeon: Thoma | Baizhu | DMC | Ayato or Thoma | Baizhu C2 | Ayato | XQ or Thoma | Venti | Ayato | DMC (I've used all three combos over time)

I played genshin for four months now (started during Dehya's banner).. I completed the last abyss full stars and the current one, too. which surprised most of the people as I achieved it in this short time. from my experience Nahida, Kazuha and Yelan are the cheat code of this game, once you pulled these three characters you can pull whoever you like you already in a very safe spot in the meta. I believe these three are the most universal five star characters.

i was using widsith r0 for yae but switched to hakushin r5, way better. 20% dmg boost for her and for nahida cus when yae procs it with nahida, she also buffs her damage. no rng and with c1 yae and the ring u get her ult back with 0 ER per rotation

Depending how far you are in, I think end game farming is just "do what you want". If in doubt, farm the xp books and money, you can never have too much. Then farm the weekly bosses, childe and such. After that do the talent runs for your faves. Then get the artifacts, prepare to be dissapointed. But with enough time, you'll get some good ones. Usually I go with the Battle Pass stuff and it sets goals for weekly stuff. Sunday is a big day always, cause you have all the opportunities in domains, so maybe you want to skip saturday for normal life and just turn the resin to condensed to use on Sunday.

my secret to zhongli replacement is sacrificial noelle lol

I saved 130+ fates for Zhongli currently at 70+ pity. I cleared up to 12-3 abyss without him. I just used Layla and Kirara as shielders. Although I only 33'd stars the abyss, I am now having second thoughts on pulling Zhongli.

If I were to choose 8 characters, I'd pick Kazuha National + Nahida Kokomi Raiden Fischl. Both are teams balanced with good single target damage and some AoE, suitable for most abyss content. More importantly, with these characters you can swap them and get more functional teams. For example Rational + anemo hyperbloom. Instead of pyro/dendro focused damage, by juggling characters and artifacts you can get hydro/electro focused teams instead with the same characters. All 70 teams possible with the combination have some reactions and at least synergy with 3 characters. This would be great for random abyss Imo. With some C2, homa/engulfing/etc it may even consistently clear with random teams.

I just started genshin been 2 weeks i am sumeru,i got yelan, and have benet,lynette,Xingqiu,xiangling and they are the only ones i am leveling along with traveler. I also got kuki,kujo sara,barbara,noelle,kiara,lisa,kaeya and amber. My question is how can i build these teams into late game F2p not too grindy for 36 * abysss. I only plan on C0 only 5 * and no weapon banners. Is it possible with these characters or i have to wait for characters like Kazhua and nahida ?

Can we take it backwards a step, how many much ER!! (the neglected stat) How much attack? Crit value in the middle, and then take it forward a step, how many EM rolls? Want to understand this logic with a basic attack character.. Then you side step it for def scalers. The modify for supports (you want the first metric ER). And then finally EM.

artifact grind never stops because getting perfect arifacts on all characters is impossible and even then new sets come out so it all starts again. prior to AR45 grinding for artifacts is a waste anyway and talent lvls are GUARANTEED power, artifacts are a risk so early on getting important sets is important, like 4p VV, but then up to like lv 7-8 talents and weapon lvls are priority especially on the main dps character of the comp.

Ik u love raiden and dont have her c2 but you should get it its really strong but C0 hu tao r1 homa 4pc crimson is def stronger than c2 raiden r1 engulfing 4 pc emblem. Crit damage just stacks up on hu tao is really all it is plus vape nuke is broken when used right . Youre right btw the Lions roar is actually crazy on keqing now!!

10:01 I'm someone who doesn't spend my fragile on artifacts; I find artifacts to be VERY RNG dependent. Using my limited resource to farm what is a very small chance at getting something I want/need seems very frustrating. Sure spare artifacts can be strongbox'd, but most of the time that gets you junk artifacts too. Without any pity system or stat chooser for artifacts, it's the same as gambling - your taking your resource and throwing most of it away for a small chance at going big. At least with wishing, we have the pity system which removew most of the gamble in exchange for (albeit pricey) guarantee. Buuuuut, if there is quite literally nothing else for you to spend your resin on, then using it on artifacts makes sense. But I feel most people could level up talents, ascend to 80/90, use more mora/exp, etc.

If you don't have Zhongli you're far better off working with Kirara, Layla, Thoma than Noelle imo (but I did use and appreciate Noelle a lot in early game)

Most universal unit imo is either Anemo/Kazuha or Hydro/Yelan/XQ. Kazuha wont work in 2 teams, geo and physical but fits into every team, even dendro with the nichie anemo trigger bloom reactions. Yelan/XQ also doesnt work with geo and physical in terms of reaction but provide enough support and off field dmg to be a competitive slot and hydro working with every meta team, vape, freeze, bloom. regarding artifact crit value, you shouldnt only look at the actual crit stats, also convert useful stats the character can use like atk%, em, ER, etc, and convert that value to cv. A 10% atk, 7% cr, 14% cd, 11% er is as good as a peice with only 10% cr and 20% cd.

This was quite interesting... I play D&D with my friends... It's like a 5 year old campaign... I have linked the characters in that campaign with Genshin's characters so that's how I enjoy the game... there are so many custom flavors made by me only and self made challenges... It's quite fun... I won't ever feel like I wasted $2k-ish on this game... also I have limited to myself on only one game so that I am regular in one game and don't get addicted to other games because I have d&d and office work to balance as well.. .Genshin doesn't require a lot of time (lately I have been far behind still in sumeru but still)

You dont need Xiangling to play Childe, thats a myth. Ive played since day one and I got Childe on a random single roll the first day of his banner, after that he was my only main for almost two years. Yes, Xiangling is his BEST co-pilot, but that doesnt mean you cant play him with anyone else. He is really strong with Kuki and Nahida. Enough to clear the abyss without bigger issue, I dont know what your standard for "acceptable" is but clearing the abyss must be past that. Tazer teams is also a pretty good fit for him. Stop perpetuating these ridiculous ideas, youre just setting up bounderies in peoples mind, hampering creativity and inovation. Anyway. My favorite all male team is Zhongli, Albedo, Kazuha, Wanderer. I use it mostly for exploring but it does a shocking amount of damage and its Geo/Anemo so literally nothing is immune to it. The worst enemy Ive faced with this line up is the Eye of the Strom as its immune to the Anemo part and I have to wait for it to in order to trigger the Geo damage. If the worst enemy you van think of is an Eye of the Storm, you dont have alot of problems 🤣

I suppose the advice for transition to late game is a necessary evil... i hate farming artifacts, its just a string of nonstop battling and there's no guarantee of getting anything good at the end of the day. Not to mention i have very little space for artifacts because i don't use them in the strongbox

You could do Alhaitham in all male, if you have male traveler. Build EMC for his burst. And MC being a sword user works out well, since that offers a variety of energy/particle generation weapon choices, which is good, because of how EMC's elemental skill works. Problem with Sapwood blade is having to pick up the leaf. This can be a problem in certain situations, and usually those situations are in the harder content. It was hyped up a bit when people first saw its stats, but dropped off due to those ease of use issues. So it isn't really underrated, and was overrated originally.

I have a question for someone who says play who you like: I play Xiangling, Xingqui, Kazuha and Bennett on my main team (I acutally like all of them, with Kazuha and Xinqui being my favorite charaters; with Ayaka, and Bennett is just adorable). Will pull for Raiden and Ayaka when they rerun. Is there any way to make Ayaka and Raiden work in one team or would I have two seperate my other team to make them work? I'm not a fan of any bloom teams....(plus, I don't have the characters to make one).

One thing you need to keep in my mind is . Genshin is a mobile game . And alot of players are mobile . Not a pc player like u are . And genshin is thier main game only . As it is over 30gb in space . And most people dont have more then 64gb . Or 128gb of storage at most . And u also need to know. There is a lack of good games on mobile in general. So thats why so much is expected from genshin to do it all . And when it cannot do it . People become haters .

How to enjoy Genshin - just don't make it another work for you! DO NOT think of your "account strength" or "building strong account" and such. This is not a "project" you have to complete. You are playing the game to enjoy the process of playing it. If that "process" does not bring you joy, then you are doing it wrong, stop it.

This is out of the content but I want to ask a question that I should pull for zhongli or childe. My dodging skills are good, but zhongli gives comfort but I want to experience different dps, sub-dps. So my other question is that can the other 4 star characters can give that 'comfort'

I use kuki almost exclusively as my healer. My main overworld team is nahida, wanderer, yelan, kuki. How would a male team of alhaitham, kaveh/bennet, xingqiu, chongyun/razor? Honestly, I dislike Bennet and wouldn't mind finding an alternative, but I just don't like how he plays. Do you have any techs for like charge cancel or sprint cancel, etc. for controller, or settings to make the game better or easier to play?
