I was given a dendrobium shoot, (if I can call that), from a friend who tells me roots will grow if put put it in some water, it has NO roots, but 5 green leaves on it, so this gives me hope that I could get it to grow some roots.... what (and which) of your methods of growing a dendrobium do you recommend I do?

Hi Alex, the media used absorb can a lot of water, does it mean it can only placed without expose to rain? Otherwise it will rot during days of raining. I live in Singapore, pls advise.

You can put any potting mix that easy to find in your country.coconut husk may be hold too much water.for me I use New Zealand pine bark with leca pebbles

_Hi Shalanie, If the orchids are in the outside and if it's hot season I watered them everyday and once it's rainy season twice a week only depending on the rooting system, if indoor water it once a week only_
