Good point about Latin America! Alina McLeod posted a video about her experience in Columbia in a sketchy neighbourhood and it shook her. A female traveler shouldn’t go without a man in certain places not only to ward off unwanted attention but for safety. You don’t want to robbed, sexually assaulted or kidnapped abroad. The main thing of course wherever you go whether you’re a female or a male traveler, is to use common sense and be aware of your surroundings and nothing bad should happen when you take the same precautions abroad that you would use at home.
