No need to carry cash , it's not a prerequisite in Mauritius. You can withdraw after coming out of the airport.

Hello Saurabh, I am planning a trip to Mauritius, so just wanted to know what currency to load in my forex card. As in should I load USD or MUR, which would be the better option.

If MUR is an option definitely MUR, no point loading USD since you would not be able to spend/withdraw USD there. Carry USD currency notes & exchange them if you want to rely on that.

It depends from country to country, if buy full insurance then no need for deposit. For deposit it's always better give cash.

Here are my responses- Can i withdraw Mauritius rupya from it?-Yes And what are the charges and what is the rate they offer?-exchange rates are live & the atm charges depends on the banks+20% TCS is now charged which is refnded in 8-12 working days if the internationspent is less than 7 lacs in the financial years. Are the rate offered are good?-Yes Is POS and UPI readily acceptable across food stalls and other eating points? POS yes, UPI no.
