This was avery interesting, I’m not a van lifers yet but hope to be in the future and already take some medication so this has made me think more about how I would make it if went abroad. I hope you get some answers to your hand problem and a cream or solution that helps. Xx

Thank you :) It's a pain to deal with especially when things get more itchy and immediate but there are ways to deal with it and it's finding which are the best which is the difficult part! But it won't stop us from travelling 🤣

Thanks for sharing Polly and hopefully your blood tests can get to the bottom of the problem. Medical cover and care abroad is not a topic mentioned much on campervan travel vlogs so it will be interesting to hear of experiences and opinion.

Thanks, hope our experiences help. Long term travel is quite 'niche' so some of the more intricate hurdles don't get highlighted often 🙂

I feel your pain. Ive had Urticaria for 30+ years, I've had hundreds of blood tests, been to 23 different "specialists", who have had me on different diets, checked me for allergies, had me on steroids, immuno suppressants. I live in Australia so hot weather makes things worse. I have rashes all over and also on my wrists like you do. I've had so many different creams. I get rashes from seat belts out of the blue, or wearing shoes, or even if I rest my chin on my chest when I fall asleep, my beard causes a rash. These days, I dont use creams and live on 2 to 3 anti histamines a day that help some what with the itching. I'm starting traveling again locally and just learning to live with it cause I cant have my life dictated by something that no one can fix.😃

That is rough 😔 The maddening thing is that's there is an answer for these skin issues, we are just not looking in the right place. And the 'specialists', so far, seem to have fixed a problem by creating a new one... in my case, the steroid cream. Like you say,we can't wait to be unbroken to be happy and live. ☺️
