Waoh…. My turtle had not eaten anything for 6 weeks, and was lethargic. Took him to the vet several times, got antibiotics and at the end of treatment gave him vitamin A injection. Turtle was getting worse, one eye closed, then the second…but opened again while out of water. called vet and suggested hospitalization that would cost several thousand $😳. OK, the carrot juice thing is no joke. I honestly just took baby carrots, boiled them and then mash them with a hand potato masher and then I added a little bit of cool water. Obviously check the temperature but it did not even have to be pure carrot juice. This was the only thing that has made my red eared slider‘s eyes open up over the last several days. Right now both eyes are open. I did not use the drops or any other thing. Just good old boiled carrots with a little water added to it. Thank you so much for the information!

thank you so much!! the salt water technique works so well I did it for 2-3 day and my turtle was trying to open his eyes and also I would tell that you should also keep the turtle under 100 power bulb in this situation and should mostly keep out of the water I am not sure but as the doctor told me I commented that.

As crazy is this might of sound my turtle opened up both of her eyes after putting eye drops for 1 week and a half, but they were White, yes turtle eyes were white, I was scared and thought she became blind, I started to worry about her food intake so I bath her with carrot juice fit 30 min a day , been doing this for a week now, I also been doing Turtle fix in the main tank everyday, also been putting her on a container with a little Turtle Fix for 30 min, one day I go pick her up and one of the eyes dropped the white cover it has and she can see now from one eye. Whenever I dip my turtle in carrot juice it opens eyes. next morning he opens them completely. As noon comes his eyes gets close. I am doing carrot juice for him. Putting him under sunlight for 3hrs daily. Temperature also increased slightly. Also giving him medicine you mentioned and also using eye drops. Still no improvement. He didn't eat from several days. I heard that after applying cleaning eye fluid for turtles/reptiles, turtle should be away from water for 5 minutes is it true? And second question. If I use only thise cleaning eye fluid instead of carrot soak and salt water then will it work?

The carrot juice worked. We had some pot mud fallen in the tank in the night, due to which the tank was infected with germs. In the morning the turtle eyes were closed. Saw this video and tried out the carrot juice, it worked like magic, the turtle slowly opened one eye and next the other. Later added eye drops as suggested by vet. thank you for this video 🙏
