I have a boxer who has a sensitive stomach. So A. Don’t switch their diet too often or at all. B. Pepcide (fermodadine) oral pill put inside their food. Settles gas to prevent vomiting. C. If violently vomiting then take dog to the vet ;) thank you so much!!

Thank you Doc for this tip. My furbaby ate grilled swine lung this evening, few hours later she felt lethargic and was vommitting 4x consecutively. We were worried sick. We gave her some oral dextrose mixed in her favorite cerelac. She was feeling kinda better. Will eventually take her to the vet.

My 4 year old Frenchie loves cow hooves to chew. He really isn't interested in chewing anything else, so in spite of the potential dangers, I let him have them occasionally. One of them lasts about a year because they are so tough. The last one I got for him wasn't so tough and he managed to bite bits off and swallow them, he vomited the bits back up. But it seems to have upset his stomach, he vomited the next morning and then again several times through the day. Everything else is fine though, he's energetic, eating and pooping normally. He was vomiting on and off for about 24 hours, then seemed back to normal, but then vomited again in the middle of the night. I have him on a bland diet with small frequent meals now. If he is still vomiting tomorrow I will call the vet, but it's been about 12 hours since he last vomited, so I think he's getting better now. As a Frenchie, he does have a sensitive stomach, so this isn't the first time this has happened. I threw the cow hoof away.

My dog was vomiting frequently until I visited the vet. They recommended the bland diet which consists of boiled chicken breast and rice with no seasoning. That is pretty much all I feed her now and she never vomits, she also scratches a lot less. She does tend to have a sensitive stomach so she still has frequent diarrhea, but I tried a lot of things and I can't seem to stop that.

I gave my dog a tiny piece of donut because she was jumping at me trying to get some and she has been pooping liquid every hour or 2 for the past 3 days. Ive been giving her about .5 mg of loperamide every 4 hours and it doesn't do much besides making her poop less frequently.
