Yeah, treble boosters are deceptively powerful. I just run that plus my amp and that's pretty much it unless I want to dial in some effect.

Thanks for the short and direct explanation video. Got the Iommi Sabbra Cadabra pedal that comes with a range function. Although it’s mainly a drive pedal, could it also serve as just a treble booster if I turned the gain all the way down? Trying to see if I can use it in acquiring a Blackmore tone.

Not familiar with that particular pedal but that’s worth a try if it has a a Dallas Rangemaster style circuit

What’s the difference between that and a tube screamer with the gain all the way down?

Tube screamer bumps the mid frequency around 750Hz. Treble Boosters boost upwards of 2500Hz or so

It's another way to enable distortion

Kind of, it doesn't add distortion like a normal pedal, so it sounds different, it strengthens the signal of your guitar, so it will raise the volume and will start to overdrive your amp, it normally is used if you don't want to change the sound of your guitar a lot but want a little bit more gain
