Cats have nails for protection: but our house cats are probably never going to need to protect themselves all their lives: they just end up scratching all the precious furniture and your kids with those nails. It's just like those soldiers who are given guns, but have nothing to shoot during the whole war and then they just end up trigger happy and creating a problem.

It’s a way to get a cat or dog used to the nail clippers. You put it near their face - granted, not nearly as close as the video did - and let them sniff it. You can also press it to their paws but not cut the nails.

I got a dog and everytime i go to the vet the dog barks so loud in excitement he jumps on everyone everytime i talk to someone and the vet owners sometimes need to wait for him to sleep by turning off the lights in the room and closing the doors to check up on him it's one of those Chihuahuas who are excited when they see people but now my dog is doing well cause he was sick for 3 weeks

@@melissalarkin524 , hey, do u clip or use a file? Get a rotatin file (like a pedipaws or similar) ... they only 15-20 bucks and almost always work(unless u just have a really ornery cat). U will still probably have to hold em down but for mine it works better as they're more relaxed. Idk, it all depends. Worth a try thow if u never used one and r lookin for better possible way.

@@angelawhite342 Oh I know exactly why dear cat lady; the cats are strays which my mom took pity on and gave food to, and they stayed. They sleep outside and aren't anything near as pampered as what's in the video. The only time we take them somewhere is to get them spayed, since nobody wants to deal with getting rid of the kittens anymore. Only reason we sometimes bother with their claws is so they don't scratch up the furniture as much
