That's really clever, using the thinning shears. My service dog is a husky/malamute, and trimming his feet is more like mowing the lawn! I can never get the shape quite right.

I like the scissoring in between the pads. This is the only video I've seen that shows this method.

I have owned two Sheltie show dogs (retired by the breeder/show person). I can understand trimming for show must be different than a home dog, but the trimming of the top front of the leg at the end just looked wrong to me. Yes, you addressed this in the video. I trim flat to the pads also. Nice technique of the thinning shears. I have to get some for my next Sheltie. Gorgeous dog.
