I ordered this Moon Lyre from Amazon two days ago, thanks to your great review of it on another one of your videos, and I will be receiving it today!!! I am so excited! This lesson on tuning it is wonderful! I’ve only tuned strings on my guitars, so this is similar, but obviously, on 19 strings instead of 6. Your suggestions to wait a couple of weeks patiently until the strings start to settle into their correct tuning is so true. I’ve noticed reviews on Amazon that say that their new lyre won’t stay tuned, but this could be because they have only had it for a few days, and they haven’t given the instrument time to adjust to having the strings tuned up. Perfect lessons, and I love your cheerful laugh! ♥️

Hi, I just got my lyre for the first time and have been trying to tune it. Is it normal, although it is the first time for tuning, that the strings can’t stay in tune for more than a minute? Also, how tight are the strings supposed to be? I couldn’t get the higher pitch and kept tightening it, but then I realized that the wire cut through the lyre wood :(. Thank you for your help!

Hello Molly, thank you for the videos. I've been looking into lyres for a few months now and I was wondering if it would be possible to tune a lyre to be a bit more bassy? I can't find any for beginners which have more lower notes.

I ordered one following your link. No case and a let down. Strings not spaced evenly tried to send it back. It's not your usual amazon return and far too difficult with me paying postage. Wish I had not followed your link.

I don’t understand that when I tune my first string it’s perfect, then when I go to tune the next string and it changes the chord of the first one. Is this normal? I’m using a tuning app

Has anyone tried dying the C string black and the F string red, like they do with the big harps? Or would it destroy the beauty of the design? I thought a permanent marker or sharpie could do it
