This video was perfect and it worked for me. Was able to get rid of the request for a pin number and restore to access to my phones' screen via the simple "swipe" method. I have been struggling with this all afternoon. The key was you mentioning that their is no option to turn off. I felt like I landed back on earth. I did as you suggested by hitting swipe and that removed the pin screen lock. You are the king 👑 of the day. Motorola phones use to be easier and more obvious to use. I had to go to SECURITY and then had to CLEAR CREDENTIALS. It was then that I could change back to SWIPE.

FINALLY!!! I found someone who shows the CURRENT way to remove the PIN! You're the only one. Everyone else kept giving me an option in settings that used to be on my S9 but isn't anymore. Instead, go to lockscreen in your settings and select SWIPE! Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks. hooray! Finally rid of the dang PIN!

I have an RCA Tablet 7 it asked if you wanted pen none I pressed it and it removed it but thank you so much without your video I would have never known how to undo it!!!! Very Cool YOU RULE!!!!!! from South Louisiana.

Mine shows: None, Swipe, and Pattern being gray'd out. Only leaving me with PIN and Password to work with and no keys or options to say NO to the PIN...

My ZTE phone didn't have the "Swipe" feature as indicated on this video either. I wanted to get my "Long Press" to open back. Under the deactivated "Long Press" it states what things could be causing the "disable" feature, so I went to the Settings again, went to "Security" and towards the bottom of the screen it says "Clear Credentials." I cleared the credentials and VOILA! :-D It removed the lock feature. Yay!

THANK YOU IT WORKED A TREAT. I couldn't do it from settings so had to scroll down to apps. Found security there. Then I swiped and it said remove fingerprint which I did and switched off the phone switched it back on and IT WORKED. 👍

Thank you, me too; I tried whatever I could, and nothing worked. I set one by mistake, thinking it was some kind of requirement for the lab, and then realized it was for opening my screen. So, annoying, every time I had to access my phone. Now it is so much easier to use it.
