This video is about How to Turn Your iPad into a Whiteboard Camera for Zoom.
Step 1: Download app "Microsoft Whiteboard." Note: You must have an Office 365 account for this app but the good news is, most schools already offer this to their teachers.
Step 2: Login to Microsoft Whiteboard.
Step3: Login to Zoom and share screen clicking on "iPad via Airplay"
Step 4: Select "Screen Mirroring" from your iPad
And there you have your iPad whiteboard accessible on Zoom!

What about totally replacing a laptop with an iPad ? Can we share ppt and notes through an iPad. Just using iPad for zoom classes

I create a blank page in Microsoft OneNote (no subscription required) and this keeps my whiteboard filed within my individual students’ folders when teaching one on one. I share my iPad screen on zoom with a cable because it is a lot quicker to share than airplay.

Would it possible to integrate a graphics tablet with stylus pen with zoom whiteboard?

Hi there! Great question. I am not as familiar with the features available on a graphics tablet but I think it could be possible if you are able to screen mirror with that device. Sorry I don't have a definitive answer but it's something you could play around with and see if it's possible. I believe it would definitely work if you were able to screen mirror your graphic table to your computer. Then when the program is open on your desktop, it becomes a shareable option on zoom. Hope this helps!

There's a zoom app for the ipad, why not just use the ipad to join the zoom meeting?

There is a plus sign where you can add different images onto the white board.

Will this work if you have a zoom class on a PC and want to use an iPad for the whiteboard?

yes, as long as you can screen share you iPad with the PC.

@@mrsyoungsteachingcorner9190 You cannot right out of the box, you need a 3rd party software to accomplish this on a PC, it is natively available on MAC OS only.

Hi there! I used my iPad when I was sharing the screen and was able to record the activity on my digital whiteboard. I recorded this video from my desktop computer and, in the later part of my video, I used my iPhone as a document camera to video my physical white board. :)

Doesn't work for me - when I select the zoom in screen mirroring, it asks for a passcode. Where do I get the passcode?

Interesting. I haven't had that problem. Make sure you're logged into your Microsoft account on the whiteboard first. Why don't you check the zoom FAQ.

Why not just use Zoom on your iPad? Then you can write directly onto the whiteboard in Zoom in your iPad.

Yep! There are many different ways to do it... I prefer the features available on the Microsoft Whiteboard and have just found it really easy to upload pictures to write on top of and use for various things. For example, when I teach my students how to write their letters, I was able to upload the writing lines template they were familiar with and write on top of it. Do what works best for you! @@christyyoung7421 Thanks for replying. I can see this would help younger children. I was looking from the perspective of using the whiteboard for meetings whilst working from home and thought just using the whiteboard on the iPad was easier than having to mirror from your computer. It's wonderful that we have these tools that are so flexible now and allow us to adapt them to our needs. Thanks for the very informative video, I am sure it will help me at some point in the future.

@@crosswhite17 the whitepad in Zoom doesn't have "infinte scroll" so you run out of slace very quickly
