I have been searching for the answer to mapping out heads, not understanding the purpose of it since I learned the needle is to always be pointed in the direction of the swirl at the top corner. I finally understand! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊🌸💕

Thank you so much Annette! Getting closer to the camera really helped me to see the demonstration a lot better. It was kind of confusing watching other videos about hair rooting because they would draw it in the directions and stuff that they needed to be but it looked confusing yours looks a lot easier thank you I'm a little bit more confident now 😂

Emily Moorhouse thanks for your comment. As you push the hair the the vinyl acts like a poor on our skin and it closes aroundbthe hair folical. You will still have some loss of hair but nothing major. After you are completely finished Rooting you will glue it in place inside the head. Dont use super glue, I use a paint called Gel Glue. Its, quick to dry, and is water resistant so it can handle a small hair wash. And its slightly flexible so wont stiffen up the head.
Great video. Will have to take the plunge and do my babies.

Totally off subject but that stereo system behind you is incredible! My father had one very similar when I was a young child. It's called a stereo component system and in the 60s 70s 80s these really started to become affordable to the average consumer. These were different than the systems in the 90s because all the components (record player,receiver,tuner,speakers, tape player,etc) were all different. Later in the 90s we even added a 10 disc cd changer to our component system!! Then in the 90s boomboxes were born which was a portable cassette player and radio with its own speakers! Also beginning to replace component stereo systems was a mini stereo system that was stacked and all the "components" were connected. OK I KNOW NO ONE HERE CARES ABOUT MY LITTLE HISTORICAL INFORMATION BUT I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF SO JUST IGNORE ME IF I AM ANNOYING YOU. BTW THANKS FOR THIS DETAILED INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO. I WISH I COULD MAKE THESE DOLLS AND FIND SOMEONE TO TEACH ME LIKE AN APPRENTICE! GOOD DAY!

What is the best tool to use for rooting hair that is fairly short for a newborn boy...blonde. I don't want it to get snarled and tangled when using a little hat or cap. My daughter wants her doll to have very fine hair but so that it's not long. I have been trying to figure out what size needle tool to use...and type of mohair...any help would be appreciated.

Fantastic video! Just found you and will tune in for more for sure. I'm trying to root a head for the first time and can't seem to see at what angle the barb is. A friend lent me 42 size needles and they are so tiny I've already broken two and probably will break more the way I'm going. I don't seem to be picking up hairs despite following all the instructions. Should I buy larger needles? How do you know the angle of the barb?
@AussieRebornSupplies9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. You should angle your needle so its kinda in line with the head itself. Like laying flat against it but not so much that you can't work. I wouldn't stress too much able the needles. Its natural to break them when you first start out, even up to 10 per head even more. Once you get the hang of things you will find you break alot less. I am thinking of doing another rooting video in the coming weeks so stay tuned xo

Anette Hello, I would like to ask, how do you like working with forked needles? I wanted to try it and ordered it but when I got it it had no fork and no barbs, I ordered it from hunnybuns here in the US and I am very disappointed. Do you like working with forked needles and if not, why? I just want to know if it's even worth ordering somewhere else. Thank you.

Hi Annette, I have a question, my needles break quick after a short time. Can you tell me what the problem could be ? Ai use fine needles. Bye 👋
@AussieRebornSupplies7 жыл бұрын
Thats just a fact of Reborning, somtimes a needle may last a few heads but in general there is alot of pressure working on the shalf of the needle and therefore it forms weak points which will break. Over time you will get better at it but sometimes we all still have a needle break quickly. Just take your time, work slowly and push the needle in very straight, the slightest bend will snap the needle.

I would love to make one someday. what size kit would be good for a real newborn size doll? also do you have to use glass beads to weight it or can you substitute something like rice etc...?
@azelynv97187 жыл бұрын
LittlePixie Glass beads work best. Don't out any food products or sand in your babies. The food profits can mold if the baby accidentally get wet and I've seen people who have gotten there reborns damaged by bugs because of food products. And with sand, it can leak out of the joints and make a mess. Because of high altitudes, they cannot be shipped overseas and sand is just not a good thing
@azelynv97187 жыл бұрын
And a lot of kits are good for a real newborn size. Bountiful Baby is amazing for finding kits of all sizes and they are good prices
