I just bought a sewing machine (during the pandemic) and watched a whole lot of youtube videos as i'm a total beginner. Your videos are always fun to watch and I learn so much. I was thinking about buying a twin needle and this video came up just in time. I just subscribed to your channel. I'm sure many other videos will come up that will teach me invaluable tricks. I'll go buy the twin needles today and will try this on a t-shirt. Yes, I'd like more videos using the twin needle. Until then, i'll watch back some other videos from your channel. I twist the seam allowances as well to eliminate the bulk, but instead of pinning, I use press on 1/4" wonder tape & press the hem in place before sewing...makes a neater hem & easier sewing...

Please ask your camera person to hold the camera steady! It wiggled and back and forthed until I got queasy. It was really difficult to watch parts of the video 🤮

I stopped the video when you mentioned the special ball point pins. Went first to Amazon but I couldn't find any (almost unbelievably) with ball points, though hundreds of glass ball tops, and on ebay I only found one ad for ball point pins which sadly don't have glass heads, I ordered them anyway for the tips. Also liked the bit about moving the sideseam to face different ways, very clever :)

I need to clarify your threading of the needles. When you showed how on the second machine (basic one), did you say that both top threads are threaded the same way only that the left is threaded first and the right threaded on the right side of the twin needle? I have wanted to use a twin needle for years but I was told if I ever threaded it wrong, I would ruin my machine. Thanks

Why does my stitching come undone? I was advised to use seraflock for the bobbin thread as it has more stretch. Also I keep getting missed stitches even after changing the needle. Any ideas?

Nice video Margaret; I do have a question, How does this stitch do for stretching is it like a serger stitch ? With the zig-zag bobbin thread on the back I can tell it has some ability to stretch.

What is your favorite sewing machine? I want to purchase a good sewing machin. I already have a serger, cover stitch and my mother’s old kenmore sewing machine. I was very interested in the Juki f600. This is a big purchase and i know you have tried many machines. I would love your input.

I have to agree with the majority of the comments regarding the camera work. I am a professional videographer and I wanted to give you some helpful pointers. I'm not sure what type of camera you're using if it's a SmartPhone but if it's just a normal video camera there is something called manual focus (yes I'm being sarcastic however I cannot get over how many people don't know that they can switch their camera to manual focus) and that is what you should be using when you are close in. I know that editing is extremely time-consuming but it would be a much better video If you wrote out some kind of shot list that your camera person could follow. Everytime you switch to a different topic or angle the camera should be paused, then allow the camera person to zoom-in get it in focus and then begin recording. I hope this makes sense.

I hope you don’t mind, the index ring is distracting, draws the eyes away from what you are showing. Camera person needs to hold steady. Its a pretty ring though.
