Thanks for watching! I don't think that this is something you should be scared by. This is what actually makes data science fun! I may have misspoken a bit; in data science there is no such thing as the "correct way". Generally, your solution to any given problem is a trade-off between the amount of time you have and how accurate you want your model to be. Almost every model can be improved in some way, it just takes longer or is more expensive (computing power / algorithm selection) to do so. As you learn more, you will get a feel for what methods to use to solve which problems and the amount of reasonable experiments you can do begins to shrink significantly. For most "real world" data science, you don't always focus on building the best model possible. You build something that works, then you iterate on it and improve it over time. Data science is about making slow and steady improvements like this, where you learn as you go. I hope that this helps ease some of your fears here!

I recommend making goals that you have complete control over, are concrete, and have a time window. For example, I will do 3 data science projects on regression, classification, and clustering in the next 2 months is a good goal. You can measure it, and you have complete control over if you do it or not. A goal like "I will learn data science" isn't as good because it is completely subjective. I hope this helps!

Some short term advice, I would recommend learning some of the skills and tools at the intersection of the two roles so you can decide later on. Most analysts need to know SQL, tableau, and excel. It could be worth starting there and picking up some python later if you wanted to move more into data science. I hope this helps!

I've set up my desk at home to really optimize my focus! I don't do well with distractions in cafes etc

It really depends on the model you are using. I would also recommend trying other classification models as well.

For some reason, I look at the frustration as part of the learning process. It wouldn't feel so good when you got your code to work if it wasn't frustrating when it didn't work haha.

I would expect you would be better of than any professions, but I expect overall hiring to take a hit. Will do my best to make a video related to this subject!

Thanks for watching! If the course is free and you are enjoying it, I think that sticking it out is fine! I would focus on the math and the implementation while you are taking it. If you understand the concepts, it should be pretty simple for you to implement them in python on your own. If you are comfortable doing self study, I think that is the best approach to learn the python that you need. The mirco courses on kaggle.com should be a good starter there. If you feel like you need more than that, you could consider another certificate. I hope this helps!
