How to unblock windscreen washer jets on a Toyota Yaris if everything else failed

None of the tips I found online seemed to help with this particular blockage. We tried needles in the nozzles and threading thin wires through the nozzles but that didn't help as the blockage was within the pipes hidden under all the plastic sections.
I figured my bike pump would fit the nozzle, and sure enough it quickly cleared the blockage.

I found this video really useful. A demonstration is always priceless. My Yaris had a problem with the tubes behind the plastic cover/fascia. It was a bit of a struggle to lever it up enough to get behind but basically there's a single tube that branches from a little plastic T-juction into 2 tubes a little beyond the first jet. Frustratingly the blockage wasn't obvious but everything now works and I had confidence that the washer fluid motor was working because of this. Cheers

It took us a while to find a way to unblock it and I didn't fancy trying to dismantle everything (I've already had the joy of removing the front wing just to replace a headlamp!!) I didn't see any simple solutions online besides sticking a pin in the jet, which doesn't help if the blockage is in the T junction, so thought I'd post a video in the hope it might help someone else. Hi there, My Yaris rear nozzle may be blocked as I have detacted the rear hose and can see the water squirting out. Can the rear nozzle be pulled out?

It just pulls out from the top, no need to remove anything else

If you can access the tubing and valves then the same technique should work. I'm not sure of the specific layout of the 2017 model so can't help you there, but I would look around the same area and see if you can find it.

You don't have water where you live? Weird, I thought it was commonly available in all countries.

@@nadnerb33 In Canada if you put water in there it will freeze and destroy the whole system.

@@peterlittlehorse5695 haha, well this was in spring in the UK so very small chance of it freezing. But there would have been some screen wash with antifreeze already in there.
