Got my 2013 Honda Accord bumper yesterday at 12:00 PM and of course its been pouring rain for two days straight. It was about 40° outside, pouring rain and about 74° inside my house, couldn't unfolded it outside and have the sun help the bumper back to its shape. I unpacked it inside the house and used a BLOW DRYER to help it back to its shape. I concentrated blowing the inner but frequently blow the paint side too. It took a little over half an hour for the bumper to regain its true form. I left it over night just to help it more just incase. The next morning I took about an hour to install the rear bumper, looks good.

The unfolding process has begun! I received our bumper cover about 30 minutes ago, removed all of the packaging, placed it in front of the windows on the sunny side of the house and kicked on the fireplace just a bit to assist with the warming / unfolding process. Also, great and informative video by Enrique. I agree with your friend Lewis from MBI Auto....you are a natural in front of the camera my friend!

Just received mine. Opened the packaging about an hour ago and it's starting to open up nicely. Paint color looks good. Just waiting for my daughter to come home so I can confirm. Can't wait to replace her old one.

Just got my bumper in the mail. Unpackaged it and I have it sitting out under the heater. It's too cold and overcast to put it outside so I'm going to take my time with it to avoid risking any cracks (paint or bumper). Thanks for the video.

After sitting in the garage for a few hours in 50-ish degrees, it opened up a bit but was still quite stiff. I applied very light warm air to the inside using a hairdryer and, after about 10-15min of gentle warming, was able to easily open it all the way. Looks great. Would recommend. Thanks BTD team!

What kind of clear coat do you use on your painted covers?

I had no idea bumpers could be folded. I was just about to buy a painted bumper on ebay, cheapest i could find, was $403. all in.. Since i never heard of that before i youtubed it. And whadda ya know, you have it for 45 bucks cheaper!! Order in!

@@bumpersthatdeliverbyMBIAUTO. Ok got it, let it recover to its original shape, with the help of the old bumper. Then I installed it 24 hours later. All went well all be it very tight to install. Only issue is the left side which goes under the left head lamp. The plastic there is wavy / ripples. I assume that was where one of the folds were. Anyway, 24 hours after install the 3 ripples are still there. Had I known / saw this I would have sandwiched that area with 2x4s and vice them together for a week or so. So......will it eventually flatten out? Or do I have to pull the bumper and press / vice the area. It's not that noticeable, but still. 4.5 out of 5 star rating. Subject to change if the bumper returns to its original form .

When you say bumper "cover"... this replaces the existing one on my car right?? I really hope I didn't just buy a cover for the cracked fascia on my car now

You will have a steel bumper and then a plastic fascia over top of it. If you smashed your car hard enough to wreck the actual bumper then no you will need to go to a bodyshop and have the steel bumper repaired/replaced.
