On mine, there is also a manual lock under the driver-side door handle. It is behind a small, plastic, circular cover to protect it from the elements.

Or, you could just use the key on the drivers side door...

But what if they key is locked inside. This customer had hers but didn't tell me until after I unlocked it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Easier to just climb in through the boot/ rear window!! I am 72 and had no problems!!! The dead battery was another problem.

That worked for opening the side door, but since I have an electric smart car, the side charging door won’t open without breaking the hinge, as it is probably electrically controlled, Anyone know how to open that door?

Do you know where the door censor is on the smart for two? My can keeps reading door ajar and doors completely shut and keeps beeping. It’s driving me nuts😢

The customer said she didn't have it. Then I was filming, and she said she found it, so I just made the video for those who may not have their key.

You should not do that. Instead , open the trunk - it is the only door with lock on it - then entering from trunk - reach the battery located in feet of the passenger, then change the battery with new or charge the old one.
