You take a flat head screwdriver or something similar and pop open the cover to expose the lock

That's because the uploader and hyundai are both idiots. The uploader because there's no signal in a truly dead fob, this only works if it's low on battery, and hyundai because it's literally not possible to start the car with the mechanical key, you HAVE to have the fob working.
