This video will show you the best way to learn how to up shift a 10 speed Truck. Driving a manual truck is very important to have a CDL. Many Trucks today still have manual transmissions. In order to do it correctly you must have the Proper Training from the best driving school in New Jersey. Driving Academy uses simulation technology to get people read to drive a 10 speed manual. This video will go over the proper foot work for a to up shift properly.

Some instructors get tired of teaching their new students...it's like they are living the movie "50 first dates" I am a new student struggling with shifting. This video is much better than my classes.

Well done, I picture people passing their exam at the DMV with your instructions. I got the hard copy in mail now I'm just waiting for November 16 for a state Mandatory 8 hour class for school bus driver and get my certificate. after that I will be behind the wheel with a trainer.

Excellent! I really appreciate this video, because I'm training in Connecticut at NETTTS. And they teach stick only, because they don't want us to have Restrictions on our license but the countries being so cheap. They're stopping stick altogether, so I don't see the point now.

In some trucks like the Volvo I drive, you don't even need to "Half Clutch It". The Volvo BARELY and I mean BARELY needs a half inch to one inch depression for the shifter to move out and in to gear. Any more than an inch and you might as well clutch brake it. All trucks are different for sure......."VOLVOS" A love-hate relationship hahaha..... THANKS FOR THE VIDS!!!👍

ABQ ENTREPRENEUR How is your Volvo during steep grade driving? My current CDL instructor talks down on them and says that they are not that reliable. But that is just his opinion. I was looking at the newer Volvo trucks for when I start working as an owner and operator but I keep getting mixed opinions.

So you don't want to feather the throttle when releasing the clutch pedal, correct? You say not to gas and clutch at the same time but that shows when the pedal is in (clutch out) and throttle applied, basically causing high revs. Just looking for clarification, thanks.

Always half clutch for each shift up or down. The only time you full clutch is to get it into your starting gear. In normal driving you might start in 2nd gear with a load. I cringe when I hear people say to start in 3rd or 4th. That is bob tailing only! Save the clutch and start in a lower gear. If I am heavy and on soft ground, or going up hill, I will use low gear. My clutch lasts forever!
