How To Update Firmware on DJI Wireless Mic 2 Transmitter or Receiver

Please note: you'll need a PC/Mac with USB-C cable connection in order to connect the wireless mic 2 to the computer to perform the upgrade process (drag & drop .bin file from download folder to your wireless mic's root directory)

Just make sure to unmount the DJI from your computer before pulling the cable out or you could risk corrupting the sd card within the DJI mic.

I just go this mic, not the receiver and love it so far. Is there anyway to find out the current firmware on the Mic itself? I know you can do it if you have the transmitter but I don't have that. Thank you!

You can easily check it in the Osmo Pocket 3 or Action 4 once paired, and go to wireless mic settings to check firmware version.

Hi I cannot find the 1st page on the right of your screen folder dji 001, that just doesn't show up when I plug it in, there is a connection noise , I can see it in my new devices its called MSC- sample, but no window like yours opens, I can't find it anywhere , I have the bin file download, but nowhere to drag it to , where do I look?

If it doesn’t automatically show up, you’ll just have to manually open the drive. Open file explorer on your PC and navigate to the drive that’s called ‘USB Drive” the dji001 will not show if you have not recorded any audio internally on the DJI Mic

@TheGizmoGarage OK thank you for a fast reply appreciated! , I had unknowingly done that already but didn't know that it wont show up if I haven't recorded anything, I have moved the bin file into this folder & disconnected the mic 2 but nothing happened it just stayed green, I have recorded to my action 4 using the mic 2 & it played back on the action4 with sound, but not recorded to my PC if that is what you mean . Does this mean I can't update the mic 2..

@@SwenglishSteve1967 If you have already dropped the firmware file into Mic 2's root folder drive, you just need to disconnect your Mic 2 from your PC and it will automatically upgrade (takes about 10 seconds). So it is probably already completed. To verify the firmware version, you just need to go into Action 4 - Setup Menu - and go to "Wireless Mic" to see if there is now a "auto power off" option, if there is, then you have successfully upgraded the Mic 2's firmware :) If not, follow official DJI guide and try again: dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI_Mic_2/Upgrade%20Guide/DJI_Mic_2_Firmware_Upgrade_Guide_en.pdf

@TheGizmoGarage I have tried those actions & suggestions multiple times & have read that dji pdf multiple times , still nothing happening, & no Auto power off in action 4.thank you for your help I've been at this now for 9 hours, I'll pester someone else & see if they can help me cheers,

Did that. Disconnected and - nothing! The green light stopped flashing. No flashing red light at all. The version is still the same. Did that 4 times with two different Mic2 mics with different cables, including the one that came with Mic2 in the box. Nothing happened. No flashy lights, no upgrades 2:33 It did not go to updates automatically. on DJI official web site the Manual Says: "After disconnecting from the computer, the receiver will start upgrading automatically, and the screen will display "updating" during the upgrading process." - Not True! What Screen anyway? Chinese translation? There is no screen on Mic 2. However Manual says: "The transmitter needs to be powered on to start upgrading automatically. The System Status LED will blink red and green alternately during the upgrading process" - That is True! Once I copied Firmware BIN file, disconnected Mic2, it turned off. Then I turned it On. AND THEN LED started flashing Red and Green. When upgrade was done it went to previous state (Flashing Blue in my case). Oh. Another thing: Mic 2 is a transmitter. So We need the Transmitter Firmware. On this day I upgraded to DJI Mic 2 Firmware v04.04.05.13（Transmitters).
