How to update your Jaguar XF Navigation Satnav DVD disk

Күн бұрынIn this video we show the location of the DVD player in the Jaguar XF. We look at how to insert a new DVD to install new map software. Not sure what models this will work for but at least upto 2012.

Yes indeed my good friend Guy has a less than tidy car ! .... when he used to work for me he had 3 basset hounds and the car would STINK !

I've just put a new disc in for my 2010 xf it's the new disc is 2019 to 2020 all it says did check in progress

It went to a hard drive unit with the facelift Jaguar XF I think..

Hello Jaguar XJ 2.7 diesel sovereign 2008 I've just bought a Freelander 2 sat nav DVD 2019 to 2020 I put this in my Jaguar and all it comes up please wait reading disc but it doesn't seem to upload anything any advice please

Do not confuse people, the latest update 2019-2020 and proper one for Jaguar. If you use landrover disc for jaguar it will be a problem with voice.

My dad just got a new 2018 Sat Nav disk B for his 2008 Jag XF, unfortunately his screen is in a foreign language and we cant get an english display before we inserted the new disk. The new disk inserted and still foreign any suggestions

What if my 2011 2.2 XF Luxury diesel automatic doesn’t have a cut out area in the boot , the drive isn’t obvious will it still be in the same place under the side panel in the boot ?

On the Land Rover in 2010 they changed to having a hard drive and uploading via USB

@@andyhibbert3234 hi Andy , yes I did , mine and perhaps yours comes from a model between two ! There is no DVD hidden away , the sat nav is stored on the drive itself. It meant I had to locate a seller on eBay that sold the USB stick that updates it. Bit of a pullava but worked perfectly although you have to use a password keep your car sat running for hours while it updates and lock and unlock the vehicle two or three times. BUT the guy was right and it can be done

Thanks for that info Peter. I have been looking online and there are a multitude of sellers out there with a variety of prices for maps updates. If you still have a record of the ebay guy that sold you your USB stick update, I would appreciate if you would let me know who it is. Mine is eight years out of date and with the proliferation of roads and houses, it is well out of date! Best regards
