What vistas work with it? Someone mentioned that the DJI air unit might not fit the nazgul frame. I've got the v2 analog version

@@DexterGoneWild Any regular Vista fits (they're all the same body). The Air Unit or Micro (stupid name by Caddx) is the full sized body without mounting holes. Not sure if that would work.

@@samtarariverasanchez59 I did, and it has been perfect! There's a mix of vids on my channel using the Nazgul and Gep Crocodile Baby that were both analog and converted to DJI. I only use analog on the micros now. Good luck!

I just the same updates as you(updated to crossfire nano and added the vista to my Nazgul5 V2 which as the same FC) but no matter what i do I can’t seem to have the OSD working. I tried switching the UARTs for both the crossfire and also the vista but alas no success. I can see the telemetry data when i do ‘discover sensors’ and can see all the values reflecting on my Tango 2 so i guess the crossfire is configured correctly. Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance 🙏🏼

Forgot to mention my Nazgul is the 6s version so should I be cautious of connecting to VBAT? Will connecting the vista to +5 and GND will be fine as well?

There’s 3 thing are key here: 1.-the RX of the receiver has to be connected to the TX of the FC and the TX of the receiver to the RX of the FC 2.-SMP is enabled in the UART where you connected the receiver 3.-in your goggles you have custom OSD enabled

The vista supports 6S so it shouldn’t be any problem. The vista doesn’t work with 5V. The air unit is the one that doesn’t support 6S. Max 4S

Hi Mark. No I didn't use the stock antenna. You need to get an adapter from uFL to SMA (or RP-SMA), then you connect your SMA (or RP-SMA) to this adapter which sit on the 3D printed piece on the back

Hey. On the bench you don’t need much. I normally use 16v. When it comes amp, if I suspect of a short circuit or I’m testing for the first time a build I use 0.9 amp. That will of course not power a motor, so if after the first time nothing went into short, you can then bump to 2 amp or 1.5 to test everything else including motors

Hi Sam. The SBUS cable goes into a free RX on your FC. See that if you are installing a vista, or an air unit, you will need a RX/TX pair for the SMP (OSD, telemetri, etc), and one RX (different) for the SBUS. Just remember if you are using a F4 FC you RX should be inverted for SBUS, and if it's a F7 board then it doesn't matter if it's inverted or not.

Thank you for your kind words! No, I don't like any part touching the carbon, even if it may be ok, I always have either spacers to raise a card/part, or some isolation layer like plastic or tape. In this case I added some plastic nuts which helps keeping the screws in place and raise the vista, and then I have a long screw going through the vista and another nut on the top. I saw recently another solution which was extremely easy: zip ties through two holes in the vista, it works very well. The nazgul has had many revisions, I think I got one of the very first ones, but hopefully the concept is enough for people to move from analog to digital

Many lipo chargers are power supply. Just check if your charger has that mode. almost every kind of modern charger will do it. You select voltage and amp and ready. It’s. Good way to prevent short circuit when building

Hi, Crossfire and DJI has nothing to do. There's no compatibility or anything between them. You can always use the vista only as VTX (Video), and just ignore the control part of it. But as you say, the vista has 3 pads that are used for the DJI controller (VBAT, GND, SBUS)

Hi Ben, The original PID won't be very good, as you said, because of the added weight. I just went to iflight's webpage and took the configuration of the HD version and copy the PID section. Otherwise the best will actually be to tune it yourself, there are many guides on the internet.

@@rafaellopes4271 I'm still not sure what you are asking but I will say this: The antenna is connected directly to the vista, it's attached to the 3D printed part with a plastic pressure part that comes with the vista kit, and the 3D printed part was taken from thingiverse. Maybe this information helps?

@@NordFPV i have the V1 frame and yours look very different to mine. i'm asking because i want to fit a polar vista on mine and there is definitely no space at the back

@@Mic1203Mic In this case, also, you (and me) will have to rotate the ESC 180 degrees (the wires from the battery will now have to go from the camera side, otherwise it will not fit) and remap the numbering of the motors
