+Schawn Rees Thanks Shawn! Nvidia GTX 750ti is a decent entry level gaming card. Unfortunately, this may your best option at the moment because I don't think anything else will fit inside that case. Keep in mind there are multiple versions of GTX 750ti and I'm pretty sure the one with extra monitor connectors *will not* fit (it has the width of two cards). Also double check to make sure your power supply has at least 400 watts. Since the HDD caddy is plastic and the 2 plastic clips that swivel (from the caddy into the HDD) don't appear to be on a hinge, I'm worried if I force the clip it will snap off. Also, the 2 pins on the clip look like it won't quite meet the 2 holes in the HDD, even if it does swivel. Any suggestions? BTW, my PC is a Lenovo M81 which I assume is similar enough to the info in this video.

i got a e1s that came with a pentium duo core 3.1 ghz and i just dont know if thats the modle name is a 2010 model that i got for free and i just dont kn ow what processor i can upgrade to and what video card to add to it

The two best things you can do to make one of these (or any i5 or i7 machine) really fly is upgrade RAM and switch to an SSD. The nice thing about these Lenovo machines is you can literally use any 3.5 to 2.5" adapter for your SSD. Do the video card upgrade and you have a very, very nice media center or low/mid level gaming machine.

There is only one drive bay. You can get a 2 in 1 2.5" mount but the computer only has one SATA power connector from the power supply. If you need two drives, pick up a 2 2.5" in one 3.5" tray (Corsair makes a good one) and a SATA power Y connector. Mount your SSD and a laptop hard drive in the adapter. Add a SATA cable and you're in business. Beware, though, as those power Y adapters have been known to short and melt. If it were my task, and you're looking at 3+ years into the future with an M91p, pick up a larger SSD and the 2.5 to 3.5" adapter, install and enjoy.

Would it be possible to replace the motherboard when the CPU gets outdated in a few years? I kinda like the size of this case

Maybe with an Micro ATX size motherboard. I'm not sure if the back plate is removable where all the connectors are... but if so, all you would have to do is double check the dimensions of motherboard. The reason you would have the measure is because sometimes in name brand PCs, manufacturer can use custom size mobo. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to this PC to verify.

Is it possible to assemble Graphics Card in it? As the slot is inverted, when graphics card is installed the Fan of graphics card get covered by Case... Causing it prevent air ventilation. Will it be safe?

I would monitor temps just to be safe. It could be a problem.

Thank you for showing this model Lenovo off. I just ordered a "Renewed" same model from Amazon for really cheap. I should get it any day now. *Question:* The DVD drive, is it just a player or burner and is it the same standard size DVD Drive for standard PC? The reason I ask is, I have an LG Blu Ray burner I would love to put in the Lenovo if it's compatible.

Good question. From what I recall the DVD player is the standard atx size so your BlueRay burner should fit without problems. The connections are SATA and Sata power just like for the HDD.

Does it even have PCIE slot? If so, you can install any GPU externally with riser cable and external PSU.

@@Cobuman up to the i7. So would that include the AMD Ryzen 5 3400G? If not that then the Ryzen 5 2600 G? I really need to be able to use one of those two because they're affordable and will vastly improve my pc for video editing (I'm a freelance editor) and with my gaming. I'd also like to be able to possibly stick an MSI Gtx 1650 4gb in there as well or if not that then a Gtx 1050 ti. Would you say this sounds doable, if not I guess I could always just build a new pc entirely but I'd rather just upgrade the one I have.

Hello, it's been a while since I've had access to this PC, but I believe the front panel connects towards the front of motherboard. Roughly underneath the hard drive area. I hope that helps; I honestly don't remember 100% percent.

It's been a while since I've had this PC... but I assuming you're talking about a small speaker attached to the front panel. Probably has 2 wires going to the motherboard... it's there so that computer can beep if any error codes- but it does function as a real speaker, although very low volume. Very typical to see in name brand computers like HP, Dell, Lenovo and etc...

So i"m looking to upgrade my own Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p too but I had some questions about compatibility. Firstly I'm trying to optimize this for video editing and VFX work (I'm a freelance video editor) and for gaming as well. What I had in mind was either a AMD Ryzen 5 2600G or, preferably, an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G for my processor. I already have 16gb of ram but I'd like to upgrade to 24gb ram or preferably 32gb. Install a 500Gb SSD along with my 2TB Harddrive, put in a Gtx 1050 ti 4gb or preferably a Gtx 1650 4gb, and finally a EVGA 600 W 80+ power supply. Does all of that sound possible?

You cannot upgrade to AMD going from Intel CPU; especially newer AMD or even newer Intel (this PC uses older CPU socket). Also, you cannot upgrade the PSU either because it's proprietary type. Everything else you can do just make sure you get the correct parts for your specific PC model. Especially for the GPU you need a "low profile" type like this 1650 here: amzn.to/2QAqysd

@@Cobuman are you sure that the PSU isn't just an obscure form factor? I remember seeing a video a few months ago that used some uncommon form factor edit: he used a tfx PSU, he got a 300-watt bequiet PSU. I don't think there is much use for anything higher. 300 watts is safer for something like a gtx 1650 than the 240-watt PSU that also doesn't have 80plus certification. I believe Silverstone also makes some tfx CPUs. I'm not sure if the computer motherboard standoffs and power button cables are proprietary. if they aren't you COULD upgrade the motherboard but at that point, you should just build a pc which would probably be a lot easier

Can you please recommend a Heatsink Fan either the fan or both (heatsink and fan combo) for the M91P - as my unit is very loud. I need an after market replacement. Thank you.

It could be just dust problem or may need to replace with original. I don't think are aftermarket heatsinks or fans for it.

@@Cobuman I already did that and no improvement in the dba. I have the computer for about 3 months now. It runs good but is loud. If I change out the CPU or increase the Ram - will that have an effect on the heatsink fan on the cpu? Tx

@@giveyouashot Changing thermal paste on CPU could help it. Here is good brand if interested: amzn.to/3k3MKsk I'm assuming that fan itself is just spinning faster which could be because of heat.

@@giveyouashot It's all about the temperatures. The hotter it gets the faster fans spin. Upgrading the CPU will probably not make a big difference.

Yo, I'm very late. But, I don't wanna lose hope. So I recently bought a Radeon R5 220 (the crappy one, yes), because I really wanna be able to play games like War Thunder without running it at 13FPS, but the problem is, near the PCI slot, the bars are blocking the entry of it, any ideas in how I can solve this? Should I just return the Graphics card and buy a low profile one?

Hi, is there a way to use a standard PSU instead of the one which comes by default? i might get an used one, however it doesn't include a PSU, and getting one for that specific model off eBay would cost me more than the actual PC.

The case design is very proprietary and I don't think any other model's psu will work. Maybe if you find a model with the same case, but I'm pretty sure nothing else will fit or plug in to motherboard. Sorry my friend, I wish to be wrong on this one.

You're in luck, the psu connector is standard p1 so any other psu should work. If you move the CD ROM out of the way you can see it underneath. Long 20 pin connector and second 4 pin right next to power supply. Both standard. Can i put that motherboard to a ATX case (the motherboard is ATX) with a new power supply. So i can get a better GPU, not a low profile one?

Good question. That might be possible; however, the back plate might be an issue (peripheral connections). You know how new motherboards come with it's shaped back plate for USB ports, Ethernet and such. You may end up with a computer that has no backplate because this one is not detachable. You can measure the position of rear connectors and see if they line up with the new case. I no longer have access to this computer to check. Good luck.

Good question. GTX 1050 and 1050 ti can run without psu upgrade. Just make sure you buy a "low profile" version. GTX 1060 will not fit. Here is an example of 1050 LP: amzn.to/2t1DxXW

You can try Nvidia GTX 750. Pretty much the best option that will fit inside... BobTheMan The 750ti fits perfectly and it gives around 170-220 fps on high settings on csgo, however I have put in 16gb of ram so I don't know how that affects it

For gaming, I would upgrade by adding a video card. On it's own it does not do well. :) If you decide to add a video card; just make sure it is a "Low Profile" like this one: amzn.to/2KdF3hj

It's been while since I've had this PC but there should be a couple of screws from the outside and maybe a button you press infront of the PSU to remove. Where are you stuck with removal?

Just wondering because that psu may not even be bronze standard, drawing such wattage till something gives, but I'm guessing your ati graphics card may not draw so much? I tried installing a 1650 GTX (advancer to the 1050 ti GTX)on an M91P and had no luck, even when many stated that it would work with its crapy liteon 240w psu. I am now going to go with a gold rated 300watt PSU and then try again. And yes, legacy was enabled, ram was checked, old GPU re inserted and it worked fine too. It's more tricky with the m91's I guess for some weird reason.

@@MJ-hs4by It may just need extra cable plugged in with gtx 1650.. does it have like a 4pin or 6pin connector on GPU? If so, then you can just use one of the SATA to GPU power adapter cables. A lot of time if GPU has 2 fans it requires extra power connector.

Can't you just leave the case open/bloody saw the case? I want a nice GPU to fit its fat ass in it, like an R9 280x. Should I go with the tiny RX460/upcoming GTX 1050?

You can leave it open. For example my video editing computer does not have a case at all. It just sits on piece of wood with motherboard spacers. What ever you decide make sure the power supply is strong enough to run the GPU. My previous card was R9 280x and pulled around 300watts on its own... it will burn up anything below 500watts IMO. However those newer cards require way less power to run. Good luck.

cobuman Thank you! I'm planning on buying one of those (used ofc), will a 650W PSU fit in it along with an R9 280x? If not, I'm planning to use the RX 460 single fan while keeping the original PSU, will it fit and run?

That's it? Replace the PSU, by pressing a lever after removing 4 screws? No recpmendations on a higher wattage PSU that fits it there? 😂
