Finally got a sewing machine and immediately found this for a rewatch. Thanks for making this it'll be a resource for me at least for years.

i am curious bout how well the color stick on the clothing, id assume natural dye being less resistance to fading or color bleeding tho. i think ill try to make the avocado dye and the cabbage-baking soda one, it honestly looks pretty naturally beautiful!

Very much like this mindset! Could turn this in to a repair shop? Where people bring in used clothing, then people with sewing skills, machinery and a feeling for fashion fix them, to then sell these items in a shop at a price to keep the business running? I mean, most people do not own sewing machines, nor have time, nor have a feeling of fashion...

Sounds like you need to work in a thrift shop and get this started.

is it weird that I enjoy this more for the awkwardly silent models? everytime shes next to someone explaining the piece, they're silent -- which wouldn't normally make me laugh, but since the moments also get those extra seconds of silence at the end of each scene, not even filler music? cracks me up!

Something else to consider is that once your cloths are so old that it rips very easily due to being so thin, you can put them straight in a compost system! Make sure they are 100% cotton, hemp, etc and remove any tags. If you do not have a compost pile/bin or worm bin, start one. Seriously. There's no point in throwing your food and biological waste away. Even if you do not garden.

is this the route of the problem? don't entirely think so, the problem is we buy way to much clothes and wear them once or twice a year not that it wears out quickly but anyway good effort :)

The idea is to keep everything a bit longer. So if you are able to make and keep stuff longer with a new style you won’t need to buy new. Overconsumption is a big factor but there are pieces to the fashion waste problem. There are multiple pieces to the puzzle, no one catch all fix.

@@coombya5492 I agree with you, this is a step in consuming way less! I have a friend that is very into fashion and even she wants to learn how to modify her clothes so she will wear them more, and consequently buy less
