Just upgraded from a 3060 Ti to this exact card. Paired it with a Ryzen 5700X and 64GB DDR4 on a MSI X570S Tomahawk MAX WiFi motherboard. It's running like an absolute dream. 15,899 points on 3DMark Time Spy and temps not exceeding 57C. Performance in games is amazing. Here are just some I tested (motion blur, depth of field and bloom turned off for personal preference): Forza Horizon 5 1440p max - 98 FPS Cyberpunk 1440p ultra (no RT) - 69 FPS (nice) Shadow of the Tomb Raider 1440p max - 113 FPS (RT off) / 83 FPS (RT on) Assassin's Creed Valhalla 1440p ultra high - 117 FPS The Division 2 1440p max - 105 FPS Very impressed with this card. Picked mine up for £473 using a 15% discount code on eBay. My full specs: Case - Lian Li Lancool 216 Motherboard - MSI X570S Tomahawk MAX WiFi CPU - Ryzen 7 5700X CPU Cooler - Arctic Freezer 36 ARGB Black GPU - RTX 4070 Asus Dual OC RAM - 64GB (2x32) Patriot Viper RGB DDR4 3600MT/s PSU - 650W Riotoro Enigma G2 80+ Gold SATA SSDs - 1TB Samsung EVO 860 + 2TB Crucial MX500 NVME SSD - 1TB WD SN850X HDDs - 2TB Seagate Barracuda + 640GB WD Caviar Blue (both from old Dell XPS PC) Case Fans - 2 x 160mm Lian Li (front) + 140mm Lian Li (rear) + 3 x 120mm Deepcool FK120 (top)

One of the most important thing when installing the 4070 super is plugging the 12 h plug in. If you don't have a direct plug in for it and have to use the adapter that comes with it. Make sure you hook up the 2 -3( depending on maker) cables to it correctly. One land mine people step on is. There is one psu cable that has 2 6 pins pig tailed together, but are on the same cable. Don't use both of these on the adapter. Use only one of them, then the other from a different cable. Other wise it will fry the gpu within a week or so of us. Hope this helps.

Great presentation! Even though I'm very familiar with building computers there wasn't a moment where I wanted to fast-forward... especially with my unfamiliarity of current gen graphics cards that you're showing. I hope you see this soon, and have a brief second to reply... it would be greatly appreciated as like yours did to you, my two graphics cards are teasing me as well... I also have an older CPU; it's an i9 9900K., however, I ended up having Two cards here unopened, and teasing me, ergo, twice the torture. haha 1) ASUS Dual RTX 4070 OC 2) ASUS Dual RTX 4070 Super. One of these will be returned. According to online stats and benchmarks my i9 9900K is ~20% faster than an AMD 2700X. The most taxing scenario on my potential setup will be gaming. My questions are: A) Do you ever feel bottlenecking during your minimal gaming sessions with your 2700X & 4070? B) In your experience do you think the Super would be too much horsepower for the i9 9900K to handle for gaming? I just don't want to get into a scenario if I keep the Super, and wish I kept the 4070 OC because my CPU utilization is going through the roof with a 4070 Super version... which might happen anyway with a plain 4070...? Gigabyte Z390 WiFi Pro i9 9900K 32 GB 3200MHz Ram RTX 3060 Corsair RM750x Gold PSU 1440P 24" 60Hz oc'd to 75Hz display I don't plan to upgrade CPU/MB until I permanently move to Laos in a few years... currently in Chicago. Perhaps you're more familiar with the AMD product line, but any advice or info, if possible, would really help. Thank You Very Much!

Is there a difference in the type of 4070 gpu?! Mine says zotac gaming GeForce RTX on the side of it and mine is a 4070… regardless of it being Asus, zotac gaming, TUF gaming or MSI on the inside it’s still JUST an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 right?!?! The company name on it don’t mean anything?!?!
@ishay30007 ай бұрын
I think the “4070” part is just the processing chip. The brand name reflects on the overall wrapper unit that surrounds the chip, so they could differ with fans count/quality, and the materials of the wrapping build. Overall, it shouldn’t really matter, generally people say if you get better brands it’ll cool off the chip better so you’d get more performance, but it’s honestly so minimal that it’s absolutely not worth the couple hundred bucks difference at all

i noticed you mention that you arent overclocking your gpu... actually you are ya know :) what it is... nvidia sets the recommended core frequencies for each chip and then power requirements and msrp (rrp in the uk etc...)... this is your founders edition spec... after that board partners (asus gigabyte etc) are relatively free to make their own changes to the base design into order to differentiate their product.. stuff like adding better beefier coolers , higher quality VRMs to control the power (NOT RAM THOUGH BECAUSE NVIDIA ARE NAZI's haha) and with that they are able to set their own core frequencies for their specific design . nvidias website says base clock is 1.92ghz and boost is 2.48ghz for the 4070... your gpu there will have the same base frequency but your quiet mode (which is still over clocked ) will boost to 2520mhz and the p mode (performance ) is also overclocked but a little further to 2550mhz boost according to asus's website... so ye there ya go... youre overclocking already- and its worth bearing in mind if you ever decide to you do actually want to overclock further because your card isnt being sold as "overclock capable" - theyre all overclock capable with respect to the silicon lottery... its being sold as actually already overclocked. thats it ...enjoy :D
