I didnt hear the amp draw on the Leds. I got my dads Sl350 , its got 5000 miles on it. Im wanting to start on soon with your carb kits i purchased. . if it runs ill be getting this . Thank you.

I have a 1975 cb 125s 6volt. I changed the headlight to a 6volt led bulb but it blew the 1st time I rode. I used your video to wire the blinkers and I changed the tail light. They all work great but the headlight will not stop blowing the LED bulb

2 recommendations... (1) Highly recommend showing, very up close and slow, how to install the gold colored twisted bulb clip thingy that goes around the base of the bulb. Since this is my first CB360 and headlight/LED upgrade, it took me 15 minutes to figure that out when Brendan got it in like 2 seconds. Yes, I’m slow, but maybe think about a newbie, like me, doing this for the first time. I had to go to the other headlight video on my laptop (not my phone) so I could pause it and super zoom in. (2) how to install the rubber boot, up close. My $0.02 worth... love the upgrade!!!

Yes. Same here. Not sure what to do with the boot with the led bulb. Install for cb360. Also the light is strobing at idle. Any ideas to correct this? The two green wires connected to the old bucket bolts. What do I do with those? Thanks

@@anthonytrivisonno9068 Not sure on the strobing, but I haven't finished installing the LED blue/red wire thing yet. As for the green wires, I think those are ground wires and I reattached them to the old bucket bolts. I'm no EE major or electrician, but I await a close in video from CMC on the how-to...

On my cm400a i got so fed up with the useless stock 35watt sealed beam candlelight power, i ended up changing it for a inexpensive aftermarket lense i brought from the u.k on ebay, It came with a standard halogen 55watt car bulb which it obviously is too much of a drain so i compromised on a 45 watt which seems to be fine no blown fuse or melted wiring. So much brighter massive improvement!!

A lot of people are looking to upgrade their CM400/CM450 headlights - myself included. Has anyone put these reflector units into the standard bucket on a CM400/CM450?

Did you run into a lot of clearance issues with the LED swap? I know with my stock sealed beam on my 350, it is TIGHT with all the wiring in the bucket. I can't imagine that the LED driver block doesn't add to that.

It is snug but fits. Usually we re-sort the "birds nest" of wires to get the clearance.

Diagnosing an electrical issue on my 1970 CL 350, full battery, ZERO power. Literally had it running with a different battery, swapped the battery out, now dead everything. It's been sitting for years before I tried resurrecting it, I blame the ignition switch. Anywho, I think the headlight is out too. Might invest in the halogen. 🤓👍

I bought the Chrome full bucket light and it didn't fit unless you put a bunch of washers on both sides. I had to go back to my factory and I've got a nice chrome costly boat anchor

You would need to change the lens just like you're thinking. Unfortunately we don't yet carry CB175 replacement lens like we do for them but its on our to do list.

Is there one you can recommend for a cl175k4? It’s smaller than even the CB175 headlight and I’m having trouble finding some options. The new OEM headlight which I got for an arm and a leg isn’t very bright when compared to modern halogen or LED.

I wish they would make a period correct looking halogen headlight upgrade. All these new ones are flat faced compared. Currently in the process of upgrading a burnt out headlight by modifying it to receive new bulbs. JB weld and safety wire the donated mount to the rear of the old bulb. Not sure if the light pattern will be ideal but will make it work.

I’ve got a halogen sealedbeam on my ‘75 GoldWing and it fits and looks like stock. It puts out a lot more light than a standard sealed beam.

Can you run the LED with the original stock regulator-rectifier?

Yes you can. However the original regulator (75% of the time) and rectifier (25% of the time) are very failure prone after 40+ years. That is why we like to swap them out.

I’m only asking cause 2 people have I asked and now I am too the sealed beam on my old 1978 CB400 is too dim and really would appreciate knowing which one would fit it for the LED?

So its going to come down to if you can find an H4 lens to replace your old sealed beam with. We sell a 6.25" and a 7" and one COULD fit, I just don't have a CB400 here to test for you guys. Thats what I tell most people that ask with bikes we don't support. It definitely could fit if you measure and its about the right size but its going to be a try it and see. There are weird cases like on the CB360 where it uses a 6.25" lens but our 6.25" lens doesn't fit because it has a part of the headlight rim that gets in the way. If it doesn't fit, as long as its not scratched up and/or damaged you can always return the lens of course. Once you get switched over to an H4 compatible lens, you can then use any of these bulbs like the LED or halogen!

As long as you can switch out the lens for an h4 compatible lens then installing the LED bulb in the headlight is as easy as any other bulb.

I tore my headlight apart and inside the headlight there was a wire connected to the mount nuts, The wire on the left side disconnected from the wire harness that was stuffed inside the headlight where does it plug into the harness?

Should be dark green wires on the nuts. Those are ground connections and can be attached to this harness to the leads of the same color.

Our CB350 / CB360 headlight bucket will work well on the CB200T. Same size as the stock bucket, comes with an H4 halogen bulb in it, and will fit properly in the stock headlight ears. www.common-motor.com/honda-cb-headlight-bucket-bulb

You'd have to try it out and see, there can be some tiny differences in headlight rims that can cause issues fitting up so it really depends bike to bike. Unfortunately I don't have one of the hawks here to check.

Unfortunately nothing for 6v just yet. I'd check with spark moto to see if he has any 6v stuff. Ricks might make a conversion, but usually 12v conversions can be specific to each bike and involve decently involved ignition system conversion.

Oh yeah, my 450 Night-Turkey's 35 year old sealed beam is as useless as tits on a bull I tell you what. I am about done with the turn signals and headlight. LEDs are great! Way brighter, less draw, what can I say?

Bikes in usa require to have Sae dot usa approved equipment Including all lights lens bulbs Flashing exhaust etc So you did not mention The sae/dot specs ! Also Very important When you talk about poping That led setup You should let people know How extremly hot that bulb gets These bulbs can melt the plastics Wires all insulation inside the bucket Really fast One can have a fire in that bucket Specially if its a cheap chinese Plastic assembly So dont just put in led This guy Brendon missed out A very important point here Brendon U must be sleeping in the job Dude !
