for anyone wanting to know the deets, READ BELOW: Page 92 of the owners manual reads: "When importing wallpaper files, the image must be in the USB flash drive's root directory. Images in a folder cannot be imported. The file format of the image that can be imported is BMP (bmp) or JPEG (jpg). The individual file size limit is 2 MB. The maximum image size is 1,920 x 936 pixels. If the image size was less than 480 x 234 pixels, the image is displayed in the middle of the screen with the extra area appearing in black. Up to 255 files can be selected. The file name must be fewer than 64 characters." I dont believe it matters which file system your usb is using(ntfs or fat32).

It's not allowing me the option to click import image. I have a 2012 also does the picture have to be uploaded from a flash drive I was trying from my phone so thinking that may be why option was greyed out and not allowing me to click

So Sick! I just got a 9th gen a few months ago and the previous owner had already done the ‘Si’ logo trick BUT I saw from some videos on the internet people having different pictures and things on the screen but never knew if it was just them being crazy smart hackers or if this was possible-you’ve made it possible!

Wow what a difference in these 2012 to now. We have a 2019 Civic and that 7 years they have come a long way. Was cutting edge then but so glad it's gotten more advanced now.

On the 2015 Civic EX, Display Setup gives you different options, how exactly would you go about changing the wallpaper on the "i-MID" screen?

Some information I got from the 2013 Civic's Coupe manual ( could be different for other models, check your manual) on page 88: - Image must be in root directory ( aka not in a folder ) - File format of the image just be either JPEG or BMP - File size Limit is 2MB - Maximum size is 1920 X 936. Anything less than 480x234 will be in the center of the screen with surrounding blackness. - Up to 255 files can be stored - File name must be fewer than 64 characters

I finally succeed with uploading image from USB to Honda Civic 2012, I used USB 1 Gb with file system FAT32. In addition make sure that your USB with file system FAT32 doesn't include AUTOPLAY with operating system but only formatted FAT32 USB.

+Jeremy Arendt Hi, The size of my picture is 548x326, here are more details about the picture: Horizontal and vertical resolution is 1 dpi, Bit depth 24, size 26.4 KB. I edit the picture with Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

Jennifer Spadel. Yes, keep your USB thumb drive upright after unplugging it. Do not twist, roll, spin or jump. No sudden moves helps too.

I have a 2015 SI and there was no menu selection of "Select, Import, or Delete Wallpaper" so it wasn't possible to import. Don't know why Honda would change this since mine is also a 9th gen. When scrolling thru the display, there IS a blank screen avail that I could use for a photo. Oh well

Throttle Happy 2015 SI you can put it on the main touchscreen lol, did it with mine and you can watch Netflix and load your phone on it, and also safe pics to display

I've tried multiple usb drives and everytime I try import pictures the import icon on the screen is never available to select its always grey and I can never select it can anyone help with this issue, the usb is only a 16GB I only have 6 photos on it and I made sure to only put the pictures in the usb drive and not in another folder as I have read in the manual that it has to be in the root directory for It to work. I Also noticed some use drives usually light up when inserting them into the computer and they don't light up when plugging it into my car is it possible the cable is bad In the car?

"Import Wallpaper" is greyed out. I've tried multiple USBs (8gb, 32gb, and 64gb), reformatting to NTFS and ExFat, changing the resolution of the picture to 1920x936, and nothing worked. My Civic will not let me import any wallpapers.

Cant get this to work. i know i have to have them be the right amount of pixels, and under 2mb and either in jpeg or bmp format.. i have done all that. i tried with the flash drives i had.. i read on some forum it has to be a brand new flash drive so i went and bought one.. still will not let me import.. plz help!!!!

Are the dimensions for pictures different on 2014-2015 models since they can fit on the larger infotainment screen and IMID? I asked because instead of titling "9th Gen" Civic, you were specific with 2012-2013.
