This heart looks so beautiful, and you're right, the 2 - step crackle glaze does give it a real porcelain look. I've been practising your water transfer method with napkins and I love it. It definitely gets easier with time! When you get the hang of it, it's fun to do. Thanks, love from Amanda in Australia.:-)

Thank you thank you so much for your clear precise explanations. I bought these the bundle of crackling paint. However, I was waiting for two days for the type one layer to dry. No until you explain that the layer remained sticky I could understand the process. I thought I was the same as the cracking glace which I had to wait until it was perfectly dry.

Thank you for the video...enjoyed it very much! Comment and question please - after applying the pigment, you wipe off the access. This leaves a thin layer on top of the entire project. It's not so noticeable on the bluebird napkin project, but very apparent on this heart ornament that has so much white. Can you simply use a damp (with water or other product) cloth to clean the project of the access surface pigment without disturbing the crackle pigment areas? Once again, thank you. DJ

Here in the states Deco Art mades 1 one step crackle. You put it on a painted surface let it dry and apply a complementing color on top. The top coat crackles and you see the bottom color through the cracks. Then varnish.

I have just watched this video. I am working on a project and would love to use crackle on my decoupage paper like this. Will this effect work with Pentart crackle medium? great, thanks for taking the time to record this, love the look of the crackle effect , gives your pieces an old world look. Can I ask how many coasters you'd get out of the 1 litre bottle, just wondering which is better value, thanks so much 😊
@IvetaZiedina4 жыл бұрын
oo 1 litre bottle will give you quite a bit, difficult to say as I bought this crackle like 5 years ago when I first started decoupaging and then didn't use it for 3 years + I used it on many different projects so it's really hard to tell. all I can say is that I got way more out of my little bottles then I thought I would!

you defnitely can on pieces that wont get used as much so for something that's just gonna hang and look pretty you can definitely just mod podge, but for somthing that's gonna be used more I'd recommend varnish
