Thanks for making these videos. Finally got my first tractor in January and my property has really taken shape (been here 25 year) in the past month now that things are drying out. I really love to fish, but I think I'm getting to liking my tractor more than my boat! Actually, now that I have that tractor, I might have more time to use that boat. on my box blade after I get the grade to how I want it I then take the top link and draw it in so the rear of the box is pointed downward more and the front of the box is more upward that way it will not dig into the ground anymore and you can use the back of the box with that angle iron to get a great looking smooth finish

I will try. Pretty much how to determine how low to set them for starters, how to set the top link of the 3 point to get your angle, stuff like that. I have a half acre lot at home, planning on ripping it all up with the tines/shredders and then leveling it out, and putting some slope where its needed. Just looking for tips, and tricks of doing it successful yourself for somebody who doesn't know what they are doing, but likes to go play tractor out in the yard.

Thanks for the vid, I am looking for a box blade. Rather than angle the front of the blade down to dig the pins deeper, why didn't you lower the pins? I would assume that is why they are adjustable.

Nice job, you made using one look easy, it's not, takes skill. well said; top link adjustment is key, and notice kiddies, that's likely a 80 hp tractor on loose dirt, don't think you are going to hang a box blade on gramp's 8N and go do big bidness, be more like dropping anchor. I agree, next to my brush hog, my box blade is a very valuable tool. Good vid.

When would you want to use a box blade over a back blade? What are the pros and cons of each?
@EverythingAttachments
@EverythingAttachments 7 жыл бұрын
A box blade is better for moving material such as dirt or gravel because it can be contained within the box. It is also better for grading compacted soil because of the ripper shanks. A scrape blade is better for clearing snow from driveways/roads and creating/cleaning side ditches because of the adjustment features. Feel free to email us or give us a call with any questions. You want more of a drop spreader. Apply when the grass goes dormant and then follow up with a chain link fence section used as a harrow. The box blade will scalp sections of your grass.

I want to crown my driveway. What do you recommend a box blade or land plane?
@EverythingAttachments
@EverythingAttachments 4 жыл бұрын
Either can be used to form a crown by adjusting your RH side link lower than the LH. It would probably take more passes to develop it with a land plane, but the land plane will most definitely be the most efficient and easy for future maintenance. We have the best land planes in the industry here: www.everythingattachments.com/Tractor-Land-Levelers-Land-Graders-s/9893.htm You're welcome to give us a call or email if you need assistance matching the best one for your tractor and application!
