Hey everyone, please be aware that when a PG is used, you’ll get dinged for a inquiry on your personal credit 😒 Amex business credit was approved but I wouldn’t have applied because of my ignorance. I could have waited. Btw Brex will ask for a ss# in the application. I’m in the start phase so… thanks for the info Lyfe!

Amex typically only hard pulls you for your first card. It’s all internal score after that. I have the blue business cash and the US Bank Triple Cash. Those two cover most of my business spend for now.

Just started my LLC for Trucking . It amazes me that it’s so easy to set up and they make it so easy then throw you in the cold when it comes for options for NEW start up’s . But I’m down for the challenge . Thanks for the knowledge .

Congratulations! Similar situation, but I opted for a short cut to business credit with a Crown Office Supplies NET 30 account. They report the initial $99 membership fee to the credit bureaus which gives you some business payment history in 30 days of them reporting it. It's worth consideration.

I'm starting a cannabis company in Minnesota now that it's legal struggles are running into with no money denied for credit personally and even my business through Navy Federal Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union all the credit cards companies loans everything everywhere I just seen dead ends 17 inquiries on my credit in the last year-and-a-half student loans that keeps showing up on all credit companies reports 70k just now out of default going to try for loan forgiveness program I noticed that I lost 62 points the other day on Experian as soon as my loans were out of default

This was the most informative video I've watched on KZfaq concerning business credit cards. Im not sure why other "business gurus" often leave out very valuable and significant information like Personal Guarantee and how your personal credit could be affected even though you may have a business credit card. Just started with business credit.. set up divvy prepaid business card, nav account, uline net 30, quill net 30, capital one spark business (personal guarantee). Thinking about a few gas cards but only if no PG.

It’s been hard for me to get a business credit card. I went to Bank of America, open a checking account, apply for one and got turned down. Starting a business is not as easy as people are saying. Money is going out and nothing is coming in.

I would love to see a true work of art; from zero to hero. Low credit score, unfavorable credit history, and actual growth and acceptance of grants, business credit, credit cards, business loans, etc.. I have a feeling the professionals online/ KZfaq lack keys to heavy doors. I'll never park in stagnation albeit I'm quite disheartened with the lack of correspondence from our so- called experts. A majority of the comments read the same; great information etc etc..BS!

Dont forget that cash back you get from the cards is not taxed...the tax code is set up in a way that credit card rewards are not taxed

This was the best information that I have EVER come across. As a Financial Advisor I am always looking for people to support clients that have these issues and can explain what is going on without them "wasting" money with no results. Chase and all them other cards use a PG so you have to have bomb ass credit. Brex is wack! I had them and they closed my account and held my money saying they had suspicion of fraud but never asked me to prove anything. But they held my money for months. Most non PG cards you will need to have some business tradelines and decent business credit to get that

I have a business with a Navy Platinum, a Amex Platinum & a Home Depot Commercial card. Is it possible as a sole proprietor that I can obtain an EIN and strat to separate my personal credit from the business?

You can definitely get a EIN number as a sole proprietorship. Your question is good though, I don't know if that is enough to separate your personal credit. Why not consider an LLC?

At 34 years old I finally feel ready to settle down long enough to buy a house. Unfortunately due to previous horrible stupid life decisions, I'm forced to start with a zero balance in my savings account. On the bright side, the huge amount of debt - consequence of those bad decisions will be payed off next month! 🥳 It's never too late to start saving like there's no tomorrow, and I'm really REALLY excited and motivated. Just got my Amex Blue. My company is a week old with no business credit. I did a PG which did a hard inquiry but my experian score went up 6 points immediately as verified by my experian alerts.

Fresh start on first business ever. No luck on credit card offers because of my personal credit score. Moral really low because I am stuck at a dead end and I can’t figure out how to get my business up and running without using so much of my own money.
