So many uses for the No.95 Butt Gauge. Also great, and originally designed for hinge locations and transfer to doors.

Thank you for the kind comment. It may not be the most common marking gauge in any shop. It is certainly one of the most useful

This is a fabulous tool. You will see them by the “butt” load at antique stores and flea markets for less than $10. More versatile than the standard pin marking gauge. Thank you for reminding me that I have one of these in the bottom of my tool kit!

Can you sharpen the marker?

Yes, there is actually a way to sharpen the cutter on that particular type of marker
