One of the best knife videos out there. Too many "expert" knife reviews out there using poor technique.

Hi Ben! Great instruction for some basic grip techniques. Like many viewers I've been using knives all my life. Grew up on ranches and have spent my life in the outdoors but even at 70 years of age I still try to learn something new every day. This short video will improve my skills even tho I did okay all these years and didn't lose a lot of blood 😜. Can't understand the few who disparage a tutorial like this. They must be famous master craftsmen (🙄! Yeah). Anyway thanks, I really enjoy your presentations.

Ben, that was an awesome video on the techniques of safely handling a knife with you're eight grips. I learned a lot of valuable information and plan on watching this video over and over until I can master your techniques. Thank you.

in scissor cut not much chest is used, but back. lats and traps.

It often depends how much wood is being removed sometimes you will engage a lot more muscles to remove larger amounts of stock👍

I didn't had a knife, I had a folding knife. And I didn't have a hard childhood, at all; but I know from my father what a hard life is. My father didn't share shoes, for most of his childhood he didn't even wore them. He and his friends made their own "knives" out of scraps of metal and bullets (remains from spanish civil war). Anyway, I appreciate this video intentions but I feel it is a bit like selling "common sense". And that worries me, as "experts advice" are not a replacement for that.
@Dexusta11 жыл бұрын
Seriously... come on. That "techniques" are just common sense natural "grips"... I used them since I was a kid.
