I started carrying a pocket notebook about a year ago and I use it as a companion to my Bullet Journal. Started the Bullet Journal about a year before that and realized I wasn't carrying my BUJO with me everywhere, so some things were getting lost. Even though I carried a pocket notebook before that, I didn't use it consistently until I decided to do my rapid logging in my pocket notebook and now I use up a notebook every 4-6 weeks. This allows me to use a variety of notebooks and if something from the day needs to go into my BUJO, I add it in at the end of the day. Has been working really nicely and my top 3 notebooks are as follows: Field Notes, Log & Jotter, then MUJI. Very good overview of some excellent uses for a pocket notebook, thank you!

I keep a pocket notebook for notes and thoughts while reading fiction. I've read a lot at Uni studying Literature and recently I've noticed that I have trouble remembering the plots and details. So I got back to keeping this reading journal and having it in a portable size makes it easier to keep

I have watched a lot of these videos. Yours is one of my favorites. I carry a moleskine pocket journal everyday. I sell cars so it is great to jot down names and other information. It is also for lists and to do stuff. I transfer quotes and other things I might want save to another type of journal. Then I can expand on stuff if I need to. Thanks again.

I want to start transferring all my quotes to a separate notebook. How often do you offload them to a sepereate place?

I began carrying a small lose leaf notebook back when I was in high school in the e early 1960s.it worked well until I found pie formatted organizer systems that ruined my system. What I did for many years was to start a new page when a new category cane up. When I filled a page or it was no longer necessary, I tossed it. Pages that had info that I messed to keep,I kept on a ring binder. Because it was loose leaf, I could easily reorganize the pages. When we moved from Florida to Oregon by way of New York, California and Washington State, I wrote down every cent we spent. I still have those pages and a few years ago added it up. Including first months rent on an apartment, it was about $1200. Finding a small loose leaf notebook and the filler paper is no longer as easy, but it means that you can reorganize quickly and keep important pages stored how you can find them again. One n notebook is much easier than half a dozen.

I love using composition style/size for quotes I want to keep. For me it’s the perfect size 📚

I’ve carried one for a number of years now and my current one has just a mix of thoughts and notes I’ve taken, it’s kinda funny seeing the look on someone’s face when someone of my generation (being nearly 30) pulls out pen and paper instead of electronic when needing to jot down a note or reminder 😂 I also picked up journaling back when I started college and have been at it a little over ten years and am about half way through my second spiral notebook and many times I use my small pocket notebook as reference if there’s something I want to make sure I capture in journaling that happened that day

Good video. I carry a pocket notebook but don’t write in it much. I’m the older generation and so you’d think that pen and paper would be my jam, but I sometimes find it easier to speak it into my Notes app. I’ve got lots of stuff in my electronic notebook and not as much in my paper notebook. Good video, though!

I've honestly seen more of the older generation embracing technology. Sometimes more than the youth!

Thanks for this. I’m thinking about getting a pocket notebook. I use a handwriting app on my iPad to do most of what you said. But on the go when I’m out and about it maybe better to have a pocket notebook. Still thinking 🤔

Try it out. I'd say go to dollar tree and use their stuff first. If you find yourself using it more upgrade to something more premium
