Rewatching this video and now owner of a 2.25" Herm Sprenger I can vouch that when it fits properly near the jaw, a pinkie is all you need to communicate to my reactive and aggressive dog with effective timing. Plus the reinforcing aspect is good too. It does look intimidating but it only goes to show that appearance isn't everything. I had a previous 80lb dog that pulled all the time on walks. Pulled so much that the dog gave me tendonitis in one arm and some wrist ligament damage. It greatly affected my ability to even walk the dog. The constant pulling over years damaged the dogs neck into a condition called CVD. The CVD is like your neck vertebra out of alignment. Extremely painful. Almost had to put the dog down as the CVD was so bad. I have never used a prong collar but I dont think I will have issues with it. It may save me and the dog from medical injury. The CVD of course is the primary concern. So if any dog person or trainer says STOP! I will say no. I am saving me and my dog and ensuring we have a long happy life together. When the prong is not needed I will stop using the prong of course. unless a refresher is needed.

We just came home from a 3-hour walk, and it was an unbelievable night and day difference. Instead of fighting with them and trying to stop them from barking at everything, not listing to my commands and lunging at people, they were so well-behaved. I have ordered 2 med from you I like the easy on and off. I have used prong collars for years They are a fantastic tool when used correctly. I am handicapped so if they want to pull on a regular collar I can’t hold on to them. They are safe for dog and effective Thank you. I have never seen one like you offer

When I go to you website for supplies I am taken to Lowes and tractor supply..I'm confused as to which item you are recommending.

My Male German shepherd has long hair, and lot's and lots of it, so even with the prong collar, it doesn't even phase him. People suggested using a shock collar on him, but I just can't find it in my heart to use it on him, he is such a friendly guy, but got a stubborn streak in him, he's the alpha I be I guess the beta.. lol.. I want to get training lessons, but they are so expensive, hopefully I can find one that I can afford soon, and when I say soon I mean soon! LoL 😂

When can I actually bring my dog to you

I used the collar once this passed thursday, she would jump and pull heavily without me pulling the collar and she would squeal. After 30 minutes of training she would be calm. But as soon as I put it on again cause I wanted to fix the collar, it din't matter the introduction, she would bite me not letting me go and tug on the leash not letting me put the collar again. What can I do to keep her calm and not agressive towards the collar so I can make a better experience. Thank you Augusto.

This collar is way less aggressive than the slip lead. Tried a slip lead instead and the dog felt very little reason to stop his crazy behavior. The prong collar just works immediately with very little strength. It's great for small, disabled, or weak people to control big dogs.

Prong collars are absolutely illegal to use for dog training or anything where I live (Vienna /Austria) it's illegal in Germany as well and I am glad it is. I am absolutely against it. A good trainer doesn't need a prong collar to train a dog and a good owner doesn't need one either. We have 2 Newfoundlands, 1 German Sheppard and 1 Lagotto romagnolo and we never had to use a prong collar for them to be obedient awesome dogs!
