I just bought the Magic Trackpad 2. I am excited to use iPad Pro 12.9 2018 version as my daily computer now. I already have the Smart Keyboard Folio which cost a lot.

I accidentally activated the full keyboard function a week ago, and it messed up my setup. Any time I press the space-bar, it was saving the document I was working on, even though I didn’t ask. With your help, I managed to remove that weird setup. Thank you :)

I have the 12.9 iPad Pro(3 Gen) with keyboard. After installing iOS 13.4, and running out to get a trackpad, the entire user experience changed.

To make this a true laptop replacement, it needs to support external monitors in extend mode (not just mirroring the iPad screen) and even dual external monitors for better multitasking. Also, there are still some websites that don’t work well from iOS and I have to use a real PC or Chromebook for them to load properly.

I grabbed an iPad 10.2 and a refurbished Apple Pencil for $69 on Amazon as I’m an iPad noob switched to an iPhone fall 2018 and Apple keeps winning me over. I love the iPad 10.2 but I’m really tempted to grab the iPad Pro with the new dock as it’s basically become my on the go computer now.

I recommend to turn snapping feature off as well as natural scrolling. Natural scrolling feels just plain weird when you use a mouse with a scroll wheel. The default setting is just bizarre.

Nice mouse and track pad features. I will be getting those. Weak improvement of folders. I want to see full implementation of MacOS folders so I can utilize all folder organization I already have in my hard drives.

That’s a matter of aspect ratio, it’s something that fixing would likely require a substantial amount of time on both apple’s side and every individual developers side. As it stands many devs still haven’t updated their apps to support the funky 4:3.3 aspect ratio of the 11’ ipad so I have my doubts about this happening any time soon. On a side note a lot of older monitors are actually 4:3 so if you have any ipad other than that funky 11’ you can actually get a zero black bar letterboxing experience that way as well.

I have the Magic Mouse 2 and I know it totally is doable and works great with some of the gestures, but omg the trackpad 2 seems to be designed for this specifically. So pricey ):

Another problem is the non replaceable batteries, have been using my first gen magic trackpad for nearly 10 years now and can still use it comfortably without the artificial aging that comes along with internal batteries rapidly degrading.

Am I missing something? I seems that Hot Corners doesn’t work without enabling and using the old AssistiveTouch pointer, which unfortunately disables Pointer Animations. Please tell me I’m wrong about this 🙏🏻

Great video, but a piece of advice, change your camera to manual exposure and white balance. The change of exposure and white balance throughout the video is VERY noticeable and distracting.

I want the new iPad Pro, have used the 2nd gen one for 3 years now and love it but I'm noticing that it's starting to become slow for certain things I use it for and is beginning to feel outdated and is lowkey inconveniencing me with load times. That magic keyboard is so expensive thou. $600 dollars where I am for a keyboard case with a small trackpad. Will probably wait out till a third party case that rivals it is just as good if not better but for way less of the price.

NO body shows how to pair the trrackpad 2 with the ipad, can you do this please?

If it is unpaired, it just shows up in the list of unpaired Bluetooth devices around the iPad. If it is already pair with your Mac, you have to disconnect it from the Mac first. Max Tech has a video where he shows the pairing with a Magic Mouse 2 at the beginning.

Or it’s something nice I do for my Patreon members. Why should KZfaqrs give everything away for free? I did the work. I drove to the spot, I took the photo, I edited the photo. Jay Backlights on the new keyboard is a nice and useful addition, now to see if it can also be used for drawing or writing at a steep enough angle, I doubt it, they would of showed it in their promo video.

If you are only going to get one Magic Trackpad it’s going to get annoying. You’ll have to unpair and repair the trackpad every time you switch computers.
