Thank you for this! I was an Illustrator user a long time ago, but I just purchased Designer 2 today. Glad to see many of the general features are the same! (Did I buy the Affinity Universal License without first knowing exactly how good it was? Yes. lol! I'm just happy to be supporting a product that isn't subscription-based!)

Tip for the gradient tool: when in the color drop down selector you can move the ticks and intermediate color circles to change where the colors shift.

Can I bring a svg rhinestone template in designer to fix? I use silhouette to make rhinestone templates, I've seen people fix their templates in Adobe Illustrator. If so can you do a video on how to fix the spacing an to make the template full of rhinestones holes ? Thank you for sharing

Yes. I nuked Adobe six months ago. For Photoshop alt, I started using GIMP which is nearly intolerable to use. Their text features are at Photoshop 1.0 level or worse. Can't select more than one layer at a time, brush control is horrible. So many other problems with GIMP. Then a couple days ago I stumbled on Affinity, downloaded the suite trial, tried them all and, especially Affinity Photo works amazingly. I can't believe I went six months without even hearing about Affinity because I researched for a long time on Adobe alts before pulling the plug on the subscription. The Affinity suite is worth every penny of the $85.

I was playing it at 2x speed and it worked well for me. Different accents are hard to decipher, but changing the speed sometimes helps trick your brain.

so basically they copied Adobe illustrator, its an okay software for people who can't afford Adobe, but unfortunately it's not compatible with packaging design plugins, its fucking useless. may be in about 4-5 yrs
