Hi Jen, where can I find/purchase Jelly Roll patterns to use with my Go! Big? I reached out to Accuquilt who suggested a book on Jelly Rolls however, it's sold out. Any suggestions for videos? Thank you!

Hi Lucy! That's a great question. Here is the Jelly Roll book that I have. There are a ton to choose, though, so you may prefer a different one depending on the kind of quilt you're looking for: amzn.to/43oPbfK

I know this was a demo to show how the cutter worked but I really like the pattern of the table runner, was the top all half square triangles? I sure would love the pattern for that, it is so pretty.
@FaithandFabric
@FaithandFabric 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Wanda! Of course - here is a link to the post that talks more about the actual pattern on the front. It's from PBJ, and is indeed half and quarter square triangles: faithandfabricdesign.com/2020/12/2021-monthly-color-challenge.html

My girlfriend found the machines at a quilt show and she was immediately convinced it was the solution to all her cutting problems To be honest I didn't get it until i spent time looking at their videos and patterns I bought the hand crank one, so easy. Now I must have over 25 dies. Need to get cranking and quilting@

@@FaithandFabricit’s a combo M7 and Embroidery. It has 1230 built in embroidery designs and I just think they should have left the M7 alone. There are a lot of quilters who are very interested. For me, I like to keep it simple.

I easily damage my cutting mat, can you tell me how to save my cutting mat from cutting with the die blades?
@FaithandFabric
@FaithandFabric 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Debbie! The mats aren't as self healing as a cutting mat would be, but there are a few things you can do. The mats are intended to be used on both sides, so to increase the life of your mats, rotate and flip the fabric cutting mat and don't cut in the same place each time. Store it flat (not curled), and out of the direct sun. You can also wash it with light detergent and warm water when it gets dirty. Hope this helps!

Have you noticed any of the squares coming up short on one end? Happened to me.
@FaithandFabric
@FaithandFabric Жыл бұрын
Hi there! No, I haven’t had any come up short. I’m sure you’ve already checked these things, but my go-to checklist (when piecing isn’t as precise as I’d like) is: new needle, accurate scant 1/4” stitch, sharp rotary cutter, accurate ruler, pressing before cutting, etc. Good luck!

@@FaithandFabric I realized the problem when I started to piece my flying geese. The blocks were supposed to be 4 1/2” square but they were only that size on one side & shorter on the other side. All of my blocks came out that way. They were all from the same fabric. I wished I had tried cutting a different fabric to test.

Con with the Go Big is runs off electricity. If you lose power you won’t be able to use it
@FaithandFabric
@FaithandFabric Жыл бұрын
Collette, that's a good point. It is electricity driven, as opposed to the ones with the hand crank. For some, especially those with arthritis, this electric solution works well. Here's to no rolling blackouts, as the sewing machine wouldn't work, either :)
