@@julianmanjarres1998 But these things can download any app onto the head unit. Basically like a tablet stuck on the dashboard. I've seen units that have Netflix on them. There will definitely be idiots who are tempted to watch in traffic

It's illegal for us to use be on our phone while driving! But have you seen inside a cop car, all those electronics they use while driving. Not to mention, I always see them on their phones.

I drove the 2023 CX9 carbon trim and the 2024 CX90 and i enjoyed the CX9 better actually. Almost bought it but thought about it being discontinued, so instead bought highlander XSE.

Thank you for this video. You said the video for beginners guide but did not mention what options to choose when connected vis USB cable with car system. I get 5 to 6 options such as MIDI, USB Teethering, PTP, Android Auto etc. For suppose I have this issue currently that If I am playing music via bluetooth in my car system as soon as I connect Android Auto I cant play any music. Please advise and help what the issue is for me.

couldnt get mine to get past bluetooth connection. the whole system seems really shitty. i have auto installed but here is no icon in apps or the desktop. i have to search for it in settings. android 10 which is sufficient. the device connects but keeps prompting to connect via bluetooth.

Why do I must go on parking to type? That's so annoying... even with 2 ppl in the car, we must pull over and type the place we wanna drive to. Also, it isn't possible to open waze on the phone while using android Auto, which it annoying too. To change destination, you must pull over or exit casting...

I don't understand why you need such an interface like "Android car play" when your car system runs a better version of the same OS replicated from your phone. I understand, You can read your personal message in front of everyone. Apart from that, I don't see anything important trying to use Android car play on an Android-based car system. Please advise if I'm wrong.

Having to plug in is like moving backwards. To me the whole point is to sit in my car and press play rather than plug in the aux from my tape adapter.

I thought the same thing too, but I learned that feature is on higher style cars. Like if the car has 3 or 4 versions/styles, the most expensive one or two might have wireless. It's bait to make you consider buying the more expensive car.

I thought so too but I plug the phone in to charge do to wireless charging making the phone hard to reach. Additionally I use a obd reader via Bluetooth so the plug in requirement turns out not to ba a problem.

If you're an android guy, you can never go wrong with samsung S series, and A series(less features for if you're on a budget). I don't use any apple device so I can't halp you with which iphone to get

I was wondering what android car play was. Now i see & it is useless to me. I was thinking you could watch tv or music videos going down the road but nope. I dont use anything google. Reminders-my phone. Calendar-my phone. I honestly dont like using yt for anything neither because it too is censorship. I use Rumble mostly but they dont have the wide range of videos yet but they are getting there. Really my phone can do everything & more over android car play.

I hope you don't mean that the driver should take his eyes off the road to watch videos. It's dangerous, and it's usually illegal.
